May have to pick it up then. Like the idea of Forza with an arcade spirit.

Plus blazing along the highways in an '84 Ferrari GTO as the sun starts to go down with this playing on the radio is so strawberry floating cool:

Glad they're sticking to what works rather than trying to hammer the square F5 engine peg into a round 360 hardware hole. Although Horizon was 30fps, it worked well enough. Hopefully the new weather system isn't too taxing on top of that - plus it'd be nice to transfer liveries and decals from F4 and Horizon 1 too.

That's pretty reassuring to hear that the Xbox One version quite possibly won't be held back by the 360 version too much. I'm sure deep down Microsoft would be more than happy if the XB1 version was far superior than the 360 version so people are more likely to opt for that/buy an XB1 to play it. Sumo and Playground are both pretty awesome devs to be fair though.

They did the whole festival thing with Horizon 1, I wouldn't mind if they went in a different direction with this one - like FF said, maybe something akin to TDU maybe.

It does make you wonder! All these pre-E3 reveals I'm expecting multiple megatons. Possibly MS's best E3 ever.

Or they fear that they're going to get drowned out by everyone else, and so they're getting the announcement in early. Would also explain why Mortal Kombat X and Homefront 2 got announced today.

If there's one thing that Titanfall has taught us, it's that even if there's a shinier version available, if it's available on a console people already own, people tend to just buy that version. Forza Horizon 2 will not be a Xbone seller as a direct result of the 360 version existing.

Forza 5 engine :dread:

I must have played at least 20 hours of forza 5 and can count on one hand the amount of times I've found it visually impressive.

Loved forza horizon, even if it did get a little samey.

Really enjoyed forza horizon, and I am desperate for a next gen racing game. Drive club at launch was supposed to make me feel better about by switch from 360 to PS4, luckily forza 5 was badly cut down and somewhat different to previous games.

I may have considered an xbone depending on horizon 2, it's on 360, I'll get the 360 version and stick with drive club. A very odd approach from MS.

MS can't win. If it wasn't being released on 360 the same old accusations of them abandoning the platform would be made. Release it on 360 and it's either 'Oh noes, cross gen XB1 version held back or what's the point in releasing it on 360? I'm not going to bother with the next gen version'

Damned if they do...

Screenshots look impressive considering it's an open world racer. Hopefully it actually looks that good during actual gameplay. I hope the weather isn't just for show and the rain does impact handling and that it can be either light rain, torrential downpours...can't really think of any other weather states of the top of my head

Hopefully that first shot means rallying will be in from the start, which would be nice.

This. If it has snow I'm getting Day 1.

I don't want snow. I hate snow in Fifa so I'm not going to change my mind.

Dead chuffed about a new horizons game. I must have spent 40+ hours playing the first one. Which is a lot for me.

Snow and ice were great in PGR4 though
