Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures on Wii U. I know... it's massively uncool to do so. But I'm enjoying it!

Pac it in
- The camera barely moves by itself; but at least it's always fully adjustable with the right-stick.
- No innovation; it's a generic 3D platformer.

Spec-Pac-ular
+ It really is rather fun to play.
+ It looks surprisingly deece; I'm currently in the ubiquitous ice-world... but it's done very well!
+ Nowdays there aren't that many (good) 3D platformers - it feels good to get back into one of my favourite gaming genres.

I doubt if anyone else is playing this...

A bit random, but I've been trying to 100% the original Crash Bandicoot, ie get all the gems and unlock the two hidden levels.

As frustrating a task as this is, it is very rewarding. I do really like the game's old school challenge...even if it's making me want to fling my Vita against the wall at times <_<

Xillia 2 and Zestiria are due this year, so I'd say play through Symphonia and wait on those two.

I am so excited for Zestiria.

The CC system in Graces was a strawberry floating disgrace until the end of the game.

I love Graces; it might even be my favourite Tales title. I've just started the Future Arc and I'd play a New Game + if I didn't have Xillia, FF X/X-2 and Ni No Kuni waiting.

I'd recommend getting the PSN version of Graces as it's currently on sale. Symphonia is also on the PSN so there's a chance that it will be on sale in the future.

Open to other suggestions of games that can be played by poking at the touch screen as slowly as you like

After finishing Splinter ell & Pandora tomorrow, I'm now playing chaos theory(for the first time ever).
Really surprised how good (graphically) it looks.

BUT...
Image

I'VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS!

They've messed the controls around (they really didn't need to do it) & I'm constantly pressing wrong buttons. A bit like "whack the mole" gone wrong.
Remember Resident evil 5?. In that you had to choose what you wanted in your inventory(PUT ARMOUR IN YOUR BACKPACK! :fp: ) before you started
the chapter.
In this you have to select your style of play before you start the chapter. I thought this was Splinter Cell, you know all stealthy & gooseberry fool.

They've added more pointless mortal kombat moves like snapping someones neck like a twig whilst hanging from a pipe. How many times will I actually bother
to do that?. Not alot probably.

Not a good start but I should get use to the controls.

I've been looking back at System Shock, SS2 and Bioshock of late and all it's done is emphasise how far up its own arse Infinite disappeared, plot wise. The first 3 iterations were all constrained experiences, be it through budget or technology which allowed and encouraged innovative storytelling and narrative. Infinite had a blockbuster budget and full publisher support which led to a bloated, nonsensical yarn featuring a Mary-Sue of the highest order who, although compellingly drawn, was little more than a walking plot device.

Such a shame. Here's hoping Levine's stripped back Irrational can recreate some of the old magic.

Been really clikcing with Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Reached the point in theg ame where the Tower of Valni has become available as well as smaller skirmishes, so took the opportunity to rank up and promote some squad members. Got both Ross and Amelia to their final forms of Berserker and General respectively, and both are now absolute monsters that I'll include in every team setup purely as backup if things start to go pear-shaped.

Never played a Fire Emblem before, it's brilliant. Downloaded the demo for Awakening and loved it, will have to invest in a copy at a later date.

Tales of Xillia. I didn't really want to play this (or any JRPG) right now but I signed up for a free trial of Boomerang and this is the first thing they sent me so I guess I have to play it now. I'm not that far into it yet but it seems a decent enough JRPG. I'm pretty fond of the Tales series despite Vesperia being the only one I've ever finished.

Deus Ex Human Revolution on Wii U. Just walking around Detroit doing sidequests. Last story mission was the body in the morgue. In my last playthrough (on the xbox version), I think I killed people trying to get in. Felt good suave talking the desk guy.

Ground Zeroes, just trying to finish the main mission on S rank.

Infamous SS, I actually am bored of this and I've only just got the second power. The side missions are so boring.

I know most JRPGs are stingy with the achievements and trophies but Tales of Xillia has to be the stingiest game I've played. 16 hours in and not a single trophy. Even Star Ocean The Last Hope wasn't this bad.

Great games but many have issues that can be annoying.

Path of Radiance and Awakening gave me some headaches with their stupid gameplay choices.

The fog of war in Sacred Stones does my head in. Factor in the permadeath and any map I play that features it involves me teetering along at a snails pace because I can't afford the risk (I won't let anyone die).

Virtue's Last Reward

I have zero idea how I beat the very first room. Some of the puzzles were hinted at but I got the last mem card by punching random numbers on the lift panel.
And then in the infirmary I was stuck for the longest time because there were more sides to the room than I thought there were at first glance. I mean where the hell were those three other beds hiding?! :slol:

Still Tales of Xillia. I'm rather enjoying this now despite not wanting to play it originally.

About 45 hours in and the combat system has finally clicked. I know it isn't particularly complex but I foolishly skipped the tutorials at the start and didn't really know what I was doing.

Decided to load up Half-Life 2 and play from wherever I had last saved, Highway 17 it was, which is a great place to come back to.

40 minutes or so and I was onto 'Sandtraps' and just like I did back in 2004 I again thought "I strawberry floating love this game". No one chapter is the same, if the game isn't giving you new toys to play with its instead throwing you off with completely different enemy's and environments.

In ways I hope Half-Life 3 never rears its head, because I've no idea how Valve could possibly top HL2, and I still say that nearly 10 years after 2 was released.

So every puzzle room has a green escape password and an optional blue secret password which unlocks background story files.

1st room-

Escape

A poster on the wall tells you to count the number of babies and old people in the picture, you enter those numbers on the corresponding lift panels to get a memory card. You need this to get the escape password.

File

The actual lift panel by lift doors has a picture of Zero the rabbit. If you press the 0 button you'll unlock the memory card needed to find the secret blue password. The rabbit is Zero-3 so if you press 3 you'll get a card as well.

Having the life drained out of me via these silly door hacks in the bank whilst playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

What a gigantic, colossal, mind numbing, soul crushing, feeling violated, piece of shite idea.

Listen up Ubisoft, if I want to crack codes, I'll become a mummy strawberry floating detective.

Gamefaqs...for those gooseberry fool bits in games you really can't be arsed to be stressed with.

Bravely Default. Still. Yesterday evening I started chapter 7.

After the initial disappointment of chapter 5 (if you're reading this spoiler you should know what I'm talking about), I spend the most time on this chapter trying out new roles for all characters. I also did the vampire quest for the first time in this chapter and really liked what it added to the overall story of the game.
Chapter 6 was done a lot faster. The conjurer quest and the 'alternate futures' were also a great addition to the story.
I fought Ominas Crowe yesterday when all of a sudden -surprise surprise- Heinkel and Barras joined the fight. Is this going to be 'the gimmick' for chapter 7, surprise bosses added to ongoing boss battles?
Also, did anybody destroy the chrystals at this point? Is that what gets you 'the bad ending'?
