Annoying really because, presumably by then, he'll have cracked the upcoming reg changes and delivered RB with another dynamite car for years to come.

I doubt he'll play any part in the 2026 car. Sounds like he'll mostly be working on their hypercar between now and Q1 25, and then be gone before the 2025 season starts.

So Newey can probably start mid 2025 if he does move teams? Guess he is moving teams as if he was retiring, he’d have just ran his contract out rather than trigger an early release. As good as Ferrari would be, I just don’t see him moving to Italy to carry on working, unless he plans to retire out there and then he can do a couple of years at Ferrari before properly calling it a day.
