It's breaktime in the tournament atm. The 180 field has been wittled to just 70 already. Good news is EVERYONE is still in.

Some nice hands so far.

Sykes seems to be picking up all the good ones catching QQ 3 times, KK once? TT and AA also? Built his stack up on these plus a nice flop for T8cc with top pair, flush draw and backdoor straight draw.

Drumstick and Satriales been moving tables loads, to the same one at one point. Drumstick's main hand was a double up AK vs TT and then later AA vs KK to pick up some more chips from a short stack. Satriales managed to see a flop with K2 catching and K and running a FH beating someone who flopped top two.

DML has played nice. Picked up trip 7s early on and made a set of Kings later but didn't get paid. As I type this he just got it all in with KQ vs 66 and made a FH. Nice work.

I got short stacked early on but built it up thanks to some donk when I flopped trip tens. Made a set of 5s but didn't get paid of but the big hand was flopping a flush 3 way and getting them both all in.

As it stands currently:

1st: Satriales - 32k
5th: Rex - 16k
9th: Drumstick - 13k

Satriales has taken lots with big pairs (Aces), Rex annihalated two with AKdd and flopped a full house with Jacks, and I won a bit with a set of fives and 88 > AJ pre-flop.

Our fallen comrades: Sykes (51st), DML (36th).

Oh, and because Satriales, myself and DML were all at the same table, DML managed to forget that Rex was still in.

It's four now and this hand definitely stood out.



EDIT: All over now. Satriales finished 4th after being AI on the flop and sucked out on the river. Drumstick 2nd after a good heads up display. Well played all, you did GRcade proud.

Sadly Rex finished in 12th when his top pair was overcome by a set.

The Final Table:



Like the second hand in BackstabX_x flopped quad Jacks. First to go was blueeyesy, Backstab'sAA > A9. He then KO'd rjr3143 out with 88. Then Satriales then knocked out ggdel when his set of sixes beat A9, all of this was in quick succession. For a while play went on, I picked up AA and AK but gained relatively little. DML's nemesis, hadji12 narrowly avoided being eliminated two or three times by luckily splitting the pot, much to DML's (and our) frustration.

Then FINALLY DML's moment came when Sat's 99 held up against hadji's KTdd.

Backstab then continued his streak by knocking out a now short stacked paperopol. The Final Four!

I managed to double up to 30k with Gaz on 25k. The other two were on 50k and 170k. Gaz then doubled up against Backstab to knock him down to 135k. After much more play, Gaz made the call of the tournament. He raised with A9, Backstab who had been playing really solid hands then re-raises hugely to put Gaz all in. He calls and Backstab flips over T7. Gaz took it down!

A short while later I picked up Aces in the big blind. Backstab is on the button and raises me, I go all in, he shows KJ and I take it down to finally build a respectable stack after being short since the start of the final table.


Satriales was next to fall.

Shortly after I eliminated Holger, KQ > JJ.

After a bit of HU Backstab took me down after I went all in with middle pair and gutshot straight draw. He had top pair and took it down.

Nice one GRcade poker crew! I saw it when 3 of you were in the top 4 on Tom's laptop. Pretty good going.

It was fun to play it but I got like $2 for 3 hours play. Quite funny lol. Mainly because I was staked in but this is why if I play an MTT it has to be like at least $10+. You could make more than I did playing a $4 SnG for 9 players and cashing. Still was quite fun and another cash. I seem to be doing ree good lately. Let's hope this continues with the £1 rebuy at pokersoc tomorrow.

That was a great game, everyone played really well and we all got far into the tournament.

I was lucky to not be first out when early on I saw a cheap flop with K2 and the flop came up 3K7, I think we both checked and the turn was a 2. I think I got check raised and I had a feeling that I might not be ahead but I called the raise anyway and hit another 2 on the river. My opponent had two-pair with K3 and so that 2 on the river saved me from an early exit.

For the next hour or so I had virtually nothing and so just lived off that early double-up with K2. I had to fold AKs after missing the flop when 2 people went all-in (one of them made a full house). The only other reasonable hand I got was KQ but I had to fold that pre-flop when two others went all-in (with AQ and JQ).

Just as I was about to be swallowed by the blinds I was dealt some good cards and managed to double up a few times with AA and KK which put me near the top of the leaderboard and comfortably able to get into the cash.

My final hand when we were down to 4 people was a bit of a strange one. I raised pre-flop with AT and got called form the chip leader in the big blind. The flop missed but it was all diamonds and I had the ace of diamonds. Chip leader bet as he always does and I know he would do that with anything so I shove all my chips in and he insta-calls with 79 (middle pair and a weak diamond). Looking at the odds it is 50/50 with my flush draw and two overcards, but I don't like the way he insta-called for most of his stack with hardly anything. The turn was an ace which made me 89/11 favourite but he hit trip 9's on the river and knocked me out.
