Really? Thats awesome man, you are part of the legend!

My only gaming claim to fame was when three of my letters got into the CVG Magazine quite near to the end!

8-) it was a fix though. Most of the 'contestants' had never played the game before. And, there were rumblings that the Tetsujin had lost a match or two, but that'd been covered up by the producers. Oh, and the joystick on the contenders side was strawberry floated and the buttons were sticky.

Really?

Pretty hilarious if true, was still fun watching it though, i would love gamesmaster to return with a similar format, even if gamezville returned i would not mind or even that sky programme with 'big boy barry' and 'mystic mo'!

The Jimmy White episode was good when he played against the Jimmy White game. Can't remember who won the clear up.

It was a great series though. I feel lucky that I grew up in that era. Saying that though having today's online features would have been excellent whilst still at school.

You made me want to find it, i actually taped the final two episodes all those years ago, i might try copying them on to dvd!

The final episode was a fitting end imo and it marked the end of an era for me, everything that was exciting about videogames died alongside the show.

ZOMG noob.
Yeah okay.

Nonethless I just wanted to chip in and celebrate the early GM magazine, Dom's purple column and all. Can't argue with a magazine that ran Chaos Engine on their second cover, right?

I've just finished reading that. It's a great in-depth meaty read. Top quality. Also watching clips of kids asking GamesMaster for advice was funny.

That was a great read. As much as I've wanted them to bring it back over the years, I have to agree with Diamond that it would probably be gooseberry fool. Still, it's one of my favourite tv shows (not just gaming related) of all time.

Same here. My brother and I re-watched it all (apart from the Dexter Fletcher series :dread: ) a few months and we were both pretty surprised at the sheer number of knob gags that Diamond came out with.
