Why can't this be in French with subtitles?

One thing in AC IV that was odd was in every AC game before it the lead would speak English with their own language occasionally popping in, just a few words or sentances, but Edward never once spoke Welsh.

There's a sizeable market for having games localised into French, Spanish, Italian, etc. that doesn't exist with Welsh.

I don't mean an entire game with Welsh. With Ezio he'd speak English but occasionally a little Italian would slip through. Like he wouldn't say Rest in Peace, he said something like Requiest in Pace or something like that.

My guess would be that you can guess a lot of the EFIGS languages without knowing a lot of it, so you understand Ezio speaking a little Italian, whereas Welsh is completely different.
