I made a mistake.

Ive gone to Ash Lake, used the bonfire. Now I have to kill the Hydra and he is not a happy chappy.

I forgot about pyromancy as I've never used it. Some guy at firelink gave me a glove and 10 fire spells so I might try that.

Knights are easy enough without pyro. Aggro him into swinging, move in just as his swings finishes up, stab, back out.

Thing is I've killed a couple before but I seem to be doing sod all damage to him. I've tried my fire Zwiehander which was damaging but far too slow (and saps my stamina) and the drake sword to go for backstabs which won't work.

Backstabs do work. Learn your positioning.

You cant press any other keys either, get into position, release everything, backstab.

Would it work with the Zwei?

Brute forced the black knight in the end :shifty:

Pinwheel down, except I died as I killed him :fp:

Double KO!

Went back to get my souls and the skelly wheels killed me.

Then I got to the pinwheel chamber, climbed up into darkness and fell down a hole and died again

I was playing yesterday and killed all the basilisks and stuff in the hollow, only to fall off a branch at the end.

Just had a popup on my youtube feed of some guy doing a one shot every boss playthrough. He killed biggie and smalls in 17 seconds

Edit - same guy is doing another where everything must remain at base level, he cant soul level up unless he earns it with conditions, cant summon help, and cant use healing during combat. And theyre all fair fights with no cheap tactics. Mental.

First one I mentioned is one shot challenge, obviously, and the second is you win or you die.

Spider Shield from the Depths (I think it completely blocks the toxic darts) and the Black Leather Armour from Undead Burg make the descent a whole lot easier, and the Rusted Iron Ring from returning to the Undead Asylum is a big help for when you're in the swamp at the bottom.
