Nintendo to spotlight 'a new 3DS game' at special E3 event

Mystery title to get its own Q&A event at the June expo

Nintendo will shine the spotlight on a 'new game for 3DS' at E3 with its very own press event.

The platform holder has begun inviting press to two Q&A events to take place during E3. One will focus on the highly anticipate all-star brawler, Super Smash Bros., while the other will apparently spotlight "A new game for 3DS".

While the firm offers no further information on the game, one can at least safely assume the firm would not host an entire event for anything less than a major title for the handheld.

The platform has already been graced with new games in the firm's top franchises, such as Mario Kart, Zelda, Super Mario and numerous others.

Oooh, wonder what this is? Must be pretty big to warrant a Q&A. Earthbound 3DS or Metroid Dread I'm going with.

I bet it's nintendo being nintendo and it's just the pokemon ruby/sapphire 3ds remakes in "more depth"

Nah, I think they would have mentioned it if it was. It's definitely something new.

Could well be Koizumi's new game. Which could be Metroid, or something completely new.

"A New game for 3DS", doesn't necessarily mean an unannounced 3DS game.

I bet it is Pokémon.

Could be that new I.P. Miyamoto is suppose to be working on, with the smaller dev team.

I want it to be metroid so bad it hurts.

I'd be amazed if it was F-Zero. It's going to be something new, or a big first-party thing (much as a lot of us would like an F-Zero, I don't think that counts as 'big') or both, to get a 90-minute slot.

And it's not Pokémon either. If it was, they'd just say so. It's already been announced, so why be secretive about it?

Build up hype, its possible there's either something about the game they haven't announced...of course it could always be another different Pokémon game.

Majora's Mask would be my guess.

Or Zero Escape 3.

Super Mario 3D Land 2

They've already said they've begun work on a new 3D Mario game but didn't say the platform it would be on.

Metroid Prime 3ds or Pikmin 3ds with online Co op.

Would be great to see something new though.
