Played my first large deep-stack in person last weekend. Ten hours for nothing. Ouch. Finished about 20th out of 70, the blinds being my main nemesis at the time, although I was eventually beaten in quite a sick fashion in the end - heroically called by bottom pair with a 5 kicker by a player with a stack not much larger than mine. I managed to miss my 16 outs with 2 cards remaining. Still, that's poker. Won't be spending £110 on an entry again for a while!

Just finished 12th in a $10 MTT on ipoker.
I wasn't getting decent cards at all, but had the whole table sussed. Unfortunately the guy to my left was a calling station and no matter what the board showed he would bet half pot every street until you raised him. Would be great if I actually had some hands I could play, but not the person you want to be bluffing. So I was just waiting for a hand to hit and eventually with Q9 I see a 789 flop. I'm quite short stacked so I get it in on the flop, and he snap calls with a ten, then obviously hits the jack on the river for a straight! :x

$60 for 12th, could have been over $900 for 1st

I made up for it by winning $220 on a $0.25c slot machine!

I don't ever play them as you obviously lose long term, but I fancied a gamble and ended up getting a 2x multiplier and then hitting 5 of a kind kings on all three rows!

Just reg'd now. It started 2hrs ago so I've got a well below average stack.

$5 Zoom TUrbo Micromillion starts in 30mins so I might as well give that a go too, even though I have to be up at 5am. :dread:

Edit: Out already  Blind vs blind I get it in with A8 and called by KQ

Fair - blinds are 125/250 at the moment right?

Got knocked out already :fp: Ran SO badly. Worst hand I played was KJ. One guy on my table was raising every single pot pre-flop and I patiently folded my blinds, finally ran into KK, he raised, I 3 bet, he 4 bet, I 5 bet, he shoved, I called and he had aces :fp: I had to laugh.

Doing better in a 20k Gtd tournie on there at the moment.

On ijoker the board was 9AA92

I had A5 and got paid on every street by 77 (board had paired, so he had 7 high). Then he calls me a donk

I've just been teaching my housemate how to play poker and it seems I accidentally passed my run good onto him.

He was even referring to the card with the hand ranks as he literally didn't know anything about the game, but we played about 10 hands and he beat me in all but one where he folded (it was a good fold too). He got dealt AA three times in those ten hands, twice by me and we were cutting the deck so I'm certain he wasn't cheating.

After this I show him open face chinese poker and he proceeds to make quads on back row with Narnia at top. :fp:

Just glad there was no money involved.

Just saw 2 deep stacks in the micromillions shove, and one slightly less big stack.

Aces, Aces and KQ.

Board comes with 4 clubs. Such a sick beat for the guy with aces who got knocked out. Amazing
