I AM Alive

Some of the enemy encounters have been fantastic. Came across one guy later on who started threatening me with his machete. At this point of the game I was fairly confident in my abilities and just cut the son of a bitch down with ease, feeling all powerful. I walked a little bit further down a street and 4 guys came out of nowhere. Suddenly I didn't feel so powerful.

The bow and arrow is strawberry floating amazing by the way.

Despite the atrocious screens on the back of the case, it's not too bad-looking. It's not winning any awards though and the controls are a little iffy due to the lack of triggers for acceleration/braking. Not bad for a tenner.

Mass Effect 3 (360)

While I'm loving it, I must admit the animation looks bit stiff - and people looks more weird, somehow. Like more so than ME1&2. Maybe I didn't realise it when playing ME1&2... :shifty:

Still, loving it - and the multiplayer is really fun too.

Mario Kart 7 (3DS)

Purely for multiplayer/Time Trials. At times it is pretty much weakest MK game, but it does better than Wii one (minus 8-players online instead of 12) so I'm happy enough. It may not be MKDS, but could be considered sequel to MKDS.

Dead Rising 2: Off The Record (PC)

The little improvements have actually improved DR2 - I liked DR2, and I even like it better, thanks to checkpoint system. The survivors seem dumbed down (they were much better in original DR2) but not bad as DR1, and if they died at least I have checkpoint to try keep them alive again, rather than re-loading old save.

Near the end of this now. Just at the bit where it starts to go really mental and the colonel tells you to turn the console off.

I have enjoyed re-visiting it 10 or so years later. Visually it's aged well, but some of the gameplay mechanics feel quite dated now. Still think this is the weakest of the 4 main games, but still enjoyable. Oh and the voice acting is quite awful, it always was, but seems even worse now. Will wrap this up any day and then move onto the awesome MGS3, which is pretty much why I picked this up. It's a lot shorter than I remember, my save is coming in at 8 hours, having watched all cuts-scenes etc. have memories of my original ps2 save being over 15? Probable just my gooseberry fool memory.

FF tactics.

really enjoying it, about 7 hours into it, but i spent a good while while of that grinding up levels.

thinking this will be eating alot of my time up.

The story so far is insane, trying to keep up with all the different characters, their angles, who is who, seems fairly deep, and again i'm loving it.

sucks i missed this first time round on the PS1, but from what i know the original had a strawberry floated translation, atleast it is making sense on the vita.

Got to the ship lastnight in I Am Alive, got a little combat heavy but it was a welcome change in pace. Least favourite part is the dusty parts at night, I mean, you can't see a thing! :x

I love the way they didnt throw in zombies, it could have been so easy to just make up an infection story but they didnt, One of my games of the year (early so far) and although rough around the edges, the combat and graphics are very good indeed.

After barely touching it for two months, I've got back into Skyrim. It's daunting how much I still have to do when my save is already over 150 hours.

I've also started Crysis on 360. I've never been a huge FPS fan, but I remember being extremely impressed with some of the techo demos of this from the PC release, so had to give it a go. I love the cloaking ability, definitely makes it more my sort of thing :D

Crysis 360 is epic! I loved it to bits, played it from start to finish, minor warning - the last level and boss are a pile of shite!

Skyrim is just nuts, I put it on and want to play it for hours and hours but havent the time.

I was playing Kingdoms of Amalur but then Mass Effect 3 turned up. I was hoping to have Amalur finished before ME3 came out but it's frigging huge, I'm still in the far western area of the world map. I've been looking forward to ME3 for a while so I'm putting Amalur on hold until I finish it.

I've been playing a lot of Jetpack Joyride on iPhone and a bit of Mario 64 on the virtual console. Mario 64 is still good but playing it now really makes you appreciate how good a job Rare and whoever else worked on the conversion did of modernising Banjo Kazooie with a few little tweaks for the 360 release. Simple stuff like the camera not being easily adjustable with the right stick and the rough looking text can be a bit jarring when you first load up Mario 64. You quickly get over it and it is a better game than Banjo Kazoie before someone thinks I'm suggesting otherwise but I'd love to have seen them improve just a bit more for the Wii release.

Playing with a proper analogue stick really highlights how bad an idea the DS conversion was as well. Wouldn't mind seeing a remastered edition on the 3DS e-shop though.

Genuine question, not being sarky but how does installing work with a multi disc game?

You install first one on dashboard and the second one, then change disc when prompted....

Wii: Resident evil 4

Brilliant game.
Shooting/aiming is easier and better with the remote. Though gameplay seems easier with the wii, haven't really had problems with any boss yet.

Ashley gets more annoying the more I play this game. Firstly, she can't defend herself AT ALL, and just crouches in a ball when you are getting attacked. Secondly I have accidently killed her 2 or 3 times now with the sensitive knife action of the wii.

The merchant/upgrading guns is the best part of this game.
