I need a simple software to do basic editing to videos. Namely rotate a video (like when it was filmed with an iPhone) and also cut parts of it. Nothing fancy.
What's the best program for this stuff?

Windows Movie Maker is not the best but it is easy to use, will do what you want, and should already be installed on your computer if you are using Windows.

Edit: Actually Windows 7 doesn't appear to come with Movie Maker, but it can be downloaded easily.

Movie Maker is now Windows Live Movie Maker and comes in the same bundle of software as Live Messenger.

Indeed. It's downloadable for free from the Microsoft website, and you can choose to install just that without all the other Windows Live bullshit.
