This puppy is now on its way to me... Logicon 6 Air 61-key MIDI Controller Keyboard (£229)
I've gravitated away from using my Korg Triton (it's actually in storage at my brother's place now), to using exclusively software-based synths (VSTi's) within DAWs such as Reaper and Sonar Producer. I figured I really needed a keyboard controller up to the task - this one has had pretty good reviews and generally seems exceptionally well specified for it's price bracket. I didn't want to get anything too fancy, but I wanted the keyboard to be at least professional. This one seemed to fit the bill.

Anybody have any recommendations for a good USB mic for home recordings? Is a mic the best way to record guitars or am I better buying a lead that I can plug straight into my PC?
My band, The Karma Party, have just released its first proper music video for our song "This Is Britain". A look into a typical twat's night out in Blackpool -
Fair play, that's pretty goddamn tight. Good tune, plus well recorded/produced/engineered/mixed/etc. However, it's rare that I'll appreciate a music video for its own artistic merits outside the context of the song (Go With The Flow is one exception off the top of my head).
This video is no different: it does a great job of augmenting the song, but it's still of secondary importance IMO (I often wonder how many bands hate shooting videos and just do it because they feel obliged). No faults with the video at all (other than it being a little too similar in concept to Smack My Bitch Up).
The song is pretty good and that's the main thing as far as I'm concerned.
Forgot to thank you for the praise. Cheers man, much appreciated. Our EP's online for free now (I've made a topic in this folder a bit down the page, had a whole 29 views ), the link to our site's in my sig.
In other personal news -
Done another drum remix video. This one's for a remix competition from a group I used to be a part of (they're now completely different to what we were). Thought I'd enter it for a bit of fun, play around with some ideas.
For some reason, Youtube's encoding has strawberry floated up the first note of the track and made the bass in the intro peak and crackle a bit (none of this is on the original file), but I'm not a sound engineer or anything so I couldn't be arsed looking into how to fix it and I've entered right on the deadline anyway!
Oh and the video's a bit ghetto. Didn't have any time to get a better recording or the equipment for setting up the live sound, so it's mostly for demonstration and context of the track. You can tell I'm actually playing it all, though.
This is a copy and paste effort from what I put up on facebook, I'm not actually trying to get you guys to buy it - The debut Bodacious album "King Of Scum" is now uploaded in its entirety! You can listen to it for free, and you can download it for a minimum for £4. As a service to anyone who likes hard rocking music, the first track of the album is downloadable FOR FREE! http://bodacious.bandcamp.com/album/king-of-scum
"A favourite TBS mutation of Cardoso's Milonga with added hyper minimalist jazz rhythm-bunctuous flamenco psych-rock head wobbling" gets it about right.

This isn't Gaf where being a Junior Member means you're opinion is worth strawberry float all, this is GRCade where nobody has a decent opinion.
My band The Karma Party have just put out our newest video today for "They Tell Me". Got a bit more of a hip-hop feel to it than our others. The EP "Dark Matters" that it's taken from is free to download from http://www.thekarmaparty.co.uk -
Shot with 4k RED cameras, cinema quality. Done by Kode Media. I think it looks mint.
