Has anyone played the tiny bang story?
£1.99 HD for the ipad, really enjoying it, it's a puzzle/point and click game. Well worth checking out.

I bought GTA3 & CTW for the ipad the other day as they were only 69p each.

They're actually perfectly playable with the touch controls!! Properly thought i'd have a paddy playing it but its been great so far.

Bet it falls to bits in hectic combat though.

CTW auto-aim has held up pretty well so far for me. Even throwing molotovs is pretty cool and accurate.

"Free"-to-play Simpsons game for iOS/Android platforms:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-21-ea-announces-the-simpsons-tapped-out

Quote:
The game apparently tasks you with rebuilding Springfield after Homer triggers a nuclear explosion. The show's voice cast all feature, and its writers have contributed to the script.

Sounds like it'll be worth a butcher's.

Will download it as it's free, but was disappointed to read this :
"The universal app will be free to download, but you can buy virtual currency to speed up your progress. An Android version will follow a few months after the iOS release"
:fp:
Its clearly profitable for the game developers, but I'm sick of potentially good games being ruined for the sake of in-app purchases.
Wish more would have the decency to just concentrate on making a good game, with a higher initial cost, but with full content.
Though I suppose money talks.

It'll no doubt be a skinned version of the new Theme Park on iOS.

Couldn't find The Simpsons one on the app store - is it not released yet? As for Beat Sneak it's pretty good but infuriating if you have no sense of rhythm :x

If you purchased DLC for a game on an older iPhone is there any legitimate way to get that on your current iPhone or iPad in the case of universal apps without having to pay for it again?

Is that Arkham City game much good?
I was looking at the store earlier and was going to buy Lume but the existence of a separate iPad version put me off as it looks like the sort of game that would be better on the iPad. That would be perfectly logical except I don't own an iPad.

All DLC is a free download after you have originally bought it. I have Shantaes Revenge on my iPad/iPhone which requires a one off payment to unlock the full game, just select the download and it will say that it has already been purchased.

I downloaded Ziggurat on the strength of a good review on Edge's online site:

http://www.edge-online.com/reviews/ziggurat-review

It's very good.
