Did Free Trial.

1 Week.

Tried to Sign Up Again with diff address. It says 'Your Trial Has Ended'

I assume it just blocks anyone from My IP from doing another trial.
Does this mean the Xbox wont work now. just cos I wanted to do a Trial on the Desktop. ain' looked yet.

How do you get round it.. is ridiculous that they only ask for payment for Desktop users cos they can, but Console cant register it..

I cant even get to Netflix UK now. what would my Original DNS settings be? I wouldn't have bothered if someone hadn't of said that you could just renew every week..

Your original DNS settings will just have been automatic more than likely.

As for the trial, you need to clear your cookies before trying to sign up to a new address. Unblock US uses a cookie on your PC to record and automatically log you in to the service. If you clear your cookies then try to sign up, it'll create a new cookie linked to the new e-mail address.

I put Bob the Builder on for the kids on US Netflix earlier.

THE AMERICANS HAVE DUBBED OUT THE VOICES AND REPLACED THEM WITH AMERICAN ONES.

I've written to my MP about it, I think this justifies military action against the yank scumbags. :x

Netflix won't accept my VISA card. :(

Are you trying to sign up to the US or the UK site?

Should be the UK one.

Hm, might be worth contacting the customer services and asking them if there's any reason. Or the card provider. Could be they're blocking it as a suspiscious transaction.

Its sorted out now - just turned out the actual card number was incorrect.

:fp:

Actually - no it wasn't - its not doing it again now...

I have a VISA card - have no idea if its international though?

Sure it's not VISA Electron or something like that? Mines a VISA, a Co-Op debit card, and it works fine. It's also possible that your bank are declining it for some reason, so give them a call.

Its a VISA Debit - would that be why?

Seems strange - it works with anything else really.

My VISA Debit didn't work with Netflix either. In the end I used Entropay to setup a virtual VISA, which probably means a few extra fees but it does the trick.

Trying to get back onto UK Netflix to watch a movie which is not on US Netflix. Switched DNS Servers off (on my router settings), reboot router, even tried switching power off for a while on router, but I still get US Netflix! Any ideas?

Have you rebooted the device netflix is on?

You said you switched your DNS Servers off on your router, but what about your actual settings on your console? Switch them to automatic again (I'm assuming you're using and XBOX 360?).

I've never had to adjust the settings on my computer/ps3/iPad. When I set the DNS servers on the router, they all switched over to US Netflix. I tried rebooting the PS3 last night, but still went to US Netflix. Maybe I need to reboot my Mac. Will try again tonight.

The UK DNS number should be the same number as your "router DNS".

Obviously the PS3 is still being pointed towards the US servers for some reason. When you say you switched the DNS servers "off" on your router, did you set it to find them automatically again? If you simply removed the IP addresses it's probably still connecting to them regardless.

To test if it's the router or the PS3 at fault, try going to the netflix site from a different device, using a different browser to your usual one if possible. If that's still showing you the US library then the router's still using the Unblock US servers. If not, then your PS3's weird. ;)

I dunno why the americans though shutter-scrolling closed captions are a good idea. Hardly useful for rapid-talking parts in films.

strawberry float you americans. It's bad enough the subtitles are yellow, but this takes the biscuit.

Eh? They are fine for me. But yeah, yellow is pretty bad.

EDIT: I googled shutter-scrolling closed captioned and it turns up nothing in the results?
