Cheers dude. I need to have an area of study all sorted out by the end of this month and have funding and whatnot applied for by March 31st. Not looking forward to sorting all that out but the end result will be killer, hopefully. I want to look at the effect of propaganda on Western Europe during the Cold War, specifically US video propaganda. It's not exactly life changing stuff, but I'm sure it will help someone...somewhere.

I dunno about life-changing, but it sounds interesting to me! Research doctorates in science work a little differently: you sign up with a lab group in an area you're interested in rather than picking a topic outright, then your professor and supervisor play pretty significant roles in helping decide what specifically you're giong to investigate. I actually spent my first nine months working on some reactions with cyclotrisilenes that didn't go anywhere before moving on to digermene, which is why my PhD ended up taking four years instead of three :/

Mine is a constant shade of off white and won't go white no matter how many times I wash it.

Yeah... mine's covered in chemical stains and quite a few burn marks. (It's non-flammable of course, but the number of times I've dropped molten glass on it while making reaction tubes...)
