Brian and I have different ways of dealing with things. I knew his breakup would bring amazing stuff to the show, but we didn't force it out of him. We let him decide when he was ready to talk about it on the air. Tragedy + Time = Comedy. I just haven't had enough time with the first half of the equation to be able to make comedy out of it. Yet...

And my problem isn't like anything we've dealt with on the show before. It's not a breakup or the loss of a job, it's something much bigger.

Last few episodes of Comedy Button have been getting progressively worse. Still quite a few funny bits, but the overall quality seems to have declined somewhat.

Agreed.

Also agreed, and we know it. There has been a lot of stuff going on in my life behind the scenes that has left me, and anyone else going through the same thing feeling less than funny. I just made a conscious choice to not talk about it on the air because I want to have a separation between my private life and my public life, but the rest of the guys know what it is and are respecting my choice. With that said, however, the episode we recorded tonight (that will go up on Friday) felt like we all started to get back on track. In fact, whenever Ryan says, "that was a great episode" when he pulls off his headphones after we're done recording, it usually ends up being an oft quoted classic. Not to over-hype the upcoming episode, but he said that again tonight.

Also, strawberry float off, Marfo.

Interesting stuff to hear , I guess some people will talk about everything on air when others aren't comfortable which I can respect , I know Brian recently had some tough times the strange thing is that I found him really funny when he went all dark side on a few episodes. It was some pretty dark comedy .

Exactly what I thought. I think the episode where Brian was dumped by his ex was one of the funniest episodes they've done.

I can laugh about it now and not feel bad as he's got a new girlfriend.

These podcast are not funny at all . If you want a good podcast tune in to -Joerogan podcast- gooseberry fools on all the gooseberry fool you listen in here .

Weekend Confirmed 99 - Double Fine, Reckoning, Cell HD: emergence

Regular hosts Garnett Lee and Jeff Cannata are away attending to other business, but producer DelRio steps in to shepherd Xav, Christian Spicer, and "Indie" Jeff Mattas through a number of topics. The insanely successful start to indie developer Double Fine's attempt at crowd-funding is discussed, a multitude of listener comments and feedback are addressed, and there's even some time left over to talk about games like Reckoning and Skyrim, and indies like Cell HD: emergence, and Gunpoint.

Getting pretty sick of Ryan FM. To the point where I'm thinking about not downloading it from now on if I see that he's on the show.

I'm almost certain that he didn't used to talk and take over this much in the past. I even used to like him.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and because he spoke for so long this week they couldn't even fit in letters. strawberry float off O'Donnell. :x

So he could carry on not getting a word in, while O'Donnell hogs the air time?

Weekend Confirmed 100 - PlayStation Vita, DICE, Reckoning

Weekend Confirmed serves up its epic 100th episode with Jeff and Garnett joined by Jeff Mattas, Ariel Angelotti, and Andrea Rene. The celebration includes your listener greetings, a look back at some of the origins and good times from the first century of Weekend Confirmed, and, of course cake and beer. There's a whole lot more to get to as well. The PlayStation Vita started arriving outside Japan and we take a good look at the retail hardware, the user experience, and a couple of the launch games like Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Lumines Electronic Symphony. Jeff and Garnett both talk about the fun they're having in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, but square off when it comes down to how good the game is. There's even a philosophical discussion on the convergence of physical and virtual economies as relates to intellectual property. All that and more before it all wraps up in Finishing Moves.

What's he done now? Was it when he said Darksiders is better than Skyward Sword on the Bombcast? He's probably right, though.

I've found myself agreeing with him a lot recently. :fp:

Yeah I don't like how when he first joined they said he'd be on the odd episode to now being on every single one. :x
