Why don't you try doing a repair permissions through Onyx? Also doing some cleaning through there might sort it out.

I'll give it a go. Currently backing up 8gb of stuff first then installing Mountain Lion for a laugh then back to Snow Leopard when it goes tits up!!

I'm not arsed at all about a retina display, I'm perfectly happy with my iPad 2. I might upgrade eventually if need be.

I have not once looked at an iPad 2 screen and thought "this needs to be higher res."


And having a resolution larger than an HD screen seems totally unnecessary on a 10" tablet.

Really? Sure it was fine before the iPhone 4, but ever since having an iPhone 4 it's a noticeably step down.

More iPad 3 rumours.
Some people are saying the iPad 3 maybe will have an 8Mb sensor. I certainly wouldn't complain if it did.
You can see in the image it is clearly a bigger sensor.

Patiently waiting for next Mac refresh to get myself one. Either a Pro or Air, depends on how they spec them.

Wish they would hurry up, this laptop is on it's dying legs.

Interestingly, John Gruber of DaringFireball.net has been playing around with the latest version of the 11 inch Air and says it is noticeably faster than his last years Air. He's unsure if it's due to the newer Air of Mountain Lion, but going on what I've been hearing about Mountain Lion it appears to be down to that.



I think we'll be seeing a real convergence of the Air and Pro this year. So don't be surprised if it's a Pro without a disc drive or a bigger screen Air.

It's a new install so I'll report in a few weeks. I have notice a bug already. Pressing the caps lock key turns on the num lock key on too which WON'T turn off again!!!

Really? It was the first thing I thought. Went into PC World and has a go on the guardian website and thought if it were to be a replacement for magazines and graphic novels (which is one of the reasons I would get a tablet) then the PPI needed to be greater since I hold the thing so close to my face. It's the only feature I think it misses, and was quite disappointed they didn't do it on the ipad 2.
