Some new gameplay footage here!

Looks good but I hope the enemy/warning arrows are optional.

Some of the footage made it look like an FPS version of Uncharted 3. I've played previous FC games so I know that's not going to be the case, just the set pieces and some locations etc reminded me of UC3.

Yeah those arrows really distract from the experience! they need to be toned down.

I really like FarCry 2 and this looks...better all round.

if enemies in 2 didnt respawn at those road checkpoints the game would have been epic.

Ubisoft, worst design decision ive ever seen in a game.

Surely if they didn't respawn then eventually there'd be nothing left to shoot at, turning the game into a zebra running-over simulator....

The respawn and weapon deterioration annoyed me but I still enjoyed FC2, best played in small doses though.

Can not wait for the third.

Looks really good, and september 7th is sooner than I was expecting.

This. I almost gave up on the game because those checkpoints were soooo annoying

Currently playing FarCry 2 for the first time and while I'm thoroughly enjoying it, (in fact at times it's amazing),there's no denying that the re-spawning checkpoints was a really bizarre design choice.

The gun sounds are awful in one of the gameplay videos

I'm guessing we won't be able to correct that and other stuff since it'll be a cold day in hell before Ubisoft provide mod tools.

Woah there, "modding" sounds a lot like "evil piracy that is killing the games industry, causing global warming and murdering kittens, puppies and orphans" to me, I'm sure ubisoft have the best intentions, and that unbelievably intrusive/annyoing DRM is the best possible solution.

And yet you can still download Far Cry 2 so why did they even bother?

One of the best things in Far Cry 2 was the map creator, I made some truly amazing maps that I spent a whole day making.....then realised how shite the multiplayer was

I quite liked the Campaign mode, deterioration of weapons was quite a good thing made you look for new weapons and I didn't mind the respawning checkpoints, better to have that than clearing loads and then being bored by the end of the game because there was no one to shoot.
