Since my post-Skyrim break from gaming I've been playing Rayman Origins (beautiful but tough), followed by Halo Aniiversary (just met the Flood, really liked the Silent Cartographer level but not the one between that and the flood with all the repeated rooms and bridges) and just started Saints Row The Third last night (it's mental).

I gave up Halo Anniversary after the Library. Pretty boring, that part.

Mah *****. That section is so gooseberry fool its indefensible. Coupled with the reuse of other levels (strawberry float assault on the control room and its goddamn bridges RIGHT UP ITS ASS) it pretty much killed my enjoyment of that game.

Just tried out the ME3 demo. Good fun, tho could pretty much jsut be ME2.5 by the looks of it.

Got Dear Esther aswell, seems lovely.

That's the level I meant, and I agree with the sentiment. Perfectly fun to start until you die and have to re-do a bit. By the end I thought it might never end and I'd just be crossing those bridges for the rest of my life.

I know I'm going to be in a huge minority here but I like the bridge levels :shifty: .

This is pretty tough, it's harder when the cpu starts cheating by trying to catch you out with it's constant lower kicks. Thats cheaper than a hooker.

Totally. I was frankly shocked by its mediocrity. The level after was poor as well so I had to call time on it.

360 has gone in for repair, so no Skyrim or Batman: AC until that gets back.

So I'm PC gaming on the couch with the 42" plasma.

Rochard is pretty great, Trackmania 2: Canyon is even better, and I'm wondering if you can play Anomaly: Warzone Earth with a 360 pad.

I thought I was been thick @ first as I couldn't get the navigator control to work but you cannot use that control for this. Whats the point of making it "move" only when i can't even use the navi.
You have to use the DS3 & it feels akward.

It's a dreadful game but I feel compelled to try & finish it :fp:

Best way is to vary your moves. As much as absurd it may be, the CPU learns your patterns. Use Sub Zero's freezing protectile a lot? No problem *ducks or jump kick you*!

The best way is to vary your moves, and to force the CPU into attacking you.

Granted it's difficult due to MK1's and MK2's limited movesets compared to MK3's combo system.

Made even worse by the penultimate level being a retread of the opening level on the pillar of autumn too. I didnt notice how much stuff was reused when i played it back in 2002, guess i was just wowed by the graffix and gooseberry fool, but playing it now it has aged really badly in terms of level design, regardless of what fanboys tell you. "its supposed to be repetitive cause that highlights how great the combat is!!11!". lol no. It still palyed really well for the combat but the level design aside from one or 2 levels is pathetic.

Yes. It runs and looks better than on my PC.

Uncharted 3 - On about chapter 14 or so now. Rarely has a game managed to piss me off as much as this at times, the difficulty peaks are obscene. Moreso even than UC2 was at times. Frustrating.

strawberry floating getting pwned at Company of Heroes. I'm just playing skirmish games against normal AI but I'm just no good at managing my troops or builds. There's so much going on I can't keep track of everything at once. Just leads to me fighting a losing battle with no hope of getting back in the game. I really wish I was good at RTS games. They're so fun but I suck. :(

Now imagine your AI streaming a constant wave of poorly-spelled insults and death threats, and you have the authentic Dota/League of Legends experience right there.

The threats would also have to be in Spanish and from your teammates who are even worse at the game than you
