Would I be able to update to that Mountain Lion straight from Snow Leopard? I was debating getting Lion anyway, but if there's a new one on the way I might wait.

I would've never imagined Apple would be releasing another update so soon, but yeah I'd wait. Summer 2012 apparently so not long. Although, saying that... Lion is only £29 from the App Store anyway.

Anyone know the name of the game/app for iphone where you ask someone to think of a name of someone famous and it asks you questions to find out who it is?

It's going to be released a year after Lion was, so yes they will be charging for it. And apple is saying they will be doing annual updates now for the Mac operating system.

Strange occurrence yesterday. Mac powered down and wouldn't switch on unless connected to a wall socket :( Battery trouble?

He said it slowed it right down, and indeed getting the spinning pizza of technicolor death.

I think he eventually wiped it and put snow leopard back on, whereupon it started working properly again.
