It's actually easier and faster to use the website through the browser than it is to use the app. Ridiculous.

Two things annoy me about the text messaging UI on my Galaxy S.

Firstly, when you select a contact to message it displays their name and their number. Is there any way to stop it displaying their number? One of my friends nicked the number off a bird I was messaging and used it to blackmail me into showing him pics of her. Naughty pics. :x

Secondly, scrolling up through your messages in a conversation string for a particular contact is tiresome. There is no scroll bar or anything, you have to keep scrolling and scrolling and.... Scrolling. And if you do anything, like access the quick menu or look at an image attachment and quit out it goes all the way back to the bottom. :fp: So strawberry floating gooseberry fool. :fp:

Get a better friend.

Also, why would you gave into his blackmail? You should have called his bluff. If he did do anything to cockblock you then he's hardly a good friend.

And do what I do, have a "If you're not me, you don't use my phone" rule. Like hell am I trusting my shiny toy in the hands of anyone but myself.

strawberry floating hell  :fp: It actually seems to get worse with each update and I still don't think it's been updated with proper ICS support since some of the icons in the settings menu are cut off and don't display correctly too.

The official Twitter app is a bit dodgy too, when you get a notification of a mention, it doesn't manually update the mentions section in the app, you have to do it manually.

Yeah, farcebook doesnt work on my wildfire S either. Hasnt worked for well over a month now, i just use the website instead.
Also, in general i fing the 3G on this seems shite. Im in a ground floor apartment with a duplex above me so its obviously not great reception in it, but it can literally take about 5 minutes or more just to load a page. Even out and about with nothing overhead but sky and its still a bit slow...is that just 3G in general?

Its weird, my friend has the older wildfire, the big kind, it seems way faster than mine for internets. Ah well. I loved the wildfire S at first but alot of stuff has niggled me lately, facebook for starters, the speed of the internet 2nd, i hate how you pretty much have to hold it sideways to type a text/email, cause if you hold it normally, it puts the spacebar right over the 'back' button so you end up hitting back 90% of the time rather than space (but i despise touchscreens in general, even when i had an iphone), i hate the new 'ring' layout since the update too. Makes turnign off your alarm a pain in the ass, answering the phone too. Having to drag gooseberry fool into the ring, its stupid. I miss loads of calls cause when i take it out of my pocket to answer it, the motion of sliding it from my pocket swpies the strawberry floating thing to reject the call like half the time. I still prefer it to the iphone but not by as much as i did at first.

SwiftKey X keyboard supremacy.

Swype also has ICS support now too and is certainly a very clever method of texting on a touchscreen, still feel like I can text faster on SwiftKey X though.

ICS default keyboard got swapped ASAP for superior 3rd party choice.

Swiftkey X here too. The ICS one is decent enough though.

Firstly, I didn't care that much as I don't like her that much. Secondly, he wasn't even using the phone at the time. He just looked at my screen when I was messaging her. That's my point - when you're texting someone it displays the contact's name at the top and their number in triangular brackets beside the name. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn that off.

Can't wait to upgrade..

I bought SwiftKey and thought it was great at first.

Now I hate it and everyone who uses is.

Swype is the future.
