That's why Rangers could afford to sign him.

Ginga - I searched lots of recent surveys on different sites, couldnt find one that said higher then 13th. Its not 'immeasurable' purely because they are Celtic fans.

I don't know if you're being purposefully obtuse or if you really don't understand the concept of not being able to count every single person, from every single continent, that classes themselves as a Celtic supporter.

But, sure, that list says everything you'd ever need to know. I can't imagine there would be any details overlooked or an alternative context in which all of the facts, that we can plainly see, would be relevant. mean, it's pretty much the same as how everyone knows the Channel 4 countdown to 100 Greatest Bands hosted by an ex-member of Blue is the definitive guide to good music, right?

Can you answer those answers I asked?

What?

Rangers pulled the plug, filed some counter-form that meant he couldn't be registered even though the SFA were happy to.

What I'm saying Ginga (and in a non-lairy way) is that surely Celtic in that case are just as 'immeasureable' as any other club? In that case - these 'estimates' are the best piece of evidence we have to go on, better to go with that rather then pure speculation. Still - 13th is still very impressive mind!

DML they only asked 1000 people in that survey, it can't be realistically used in any sort of argument due to the small sample size.

It's to do with the Irish and ex-Pat community abroad and an educated guess based on international Tours that have filled out stadiums and generated a lot of income for the club in North America. You should read up about Celtic, the history, everything. Boston have begged for an Old Firm match to be played out there and it made local news Stateside when they came close to agreeing to one a few years back.

There are also inroads into the markets in Asia and South America with Celtic signing players from these regions. It's had an impact and the various supporters clubs in far flung corners of the world would suggest that Celtic are a team with a larger support than most clubs. I would be surprised if 13 clubs in Europe could claim they're as big a franchise as Celtic.

Common misconception. A sample of 1000 has a confidence interval of roughly 3%.

Does that actually mean anything with the number of variables?

There are reports that Craig Whyte may be forced out of Ibrox EVEN if Rangers come out of adminstration, subject to another investigation by FSA into Craig Whyte's takeover.

And it was reported in the Metro that Trevor Sinclair told Craig Whyte this. An ex-player? I dunno, lol.

USA in May. I love these partnerships Scotland seem to have made with other nations. We make these 'deals' with their associations to play one match at Hampden then go to their country a few years later. A lot of credit has to go to the SFA for their handling and professionality. We've been able to attract friendlies with Argentina, Brazil etc in recent years because of it.

Hats off to the SFA, for once.

LIVE press conference. I doubt it'll be anything big, but could be interesting all the same.

Ok - take Boca Juniors for instance. This is a team that also does not have the same exposure of the big Euro leagues - however they have a 40% share of their countries population claiming that they are Boca fans. They have fans all over the world and obviously millions in Spanish speaking countries. They have huge complexes and even a Boca Hotel where people all over the world come and get married. That is a club thatis DEFINITELY comparative to Celtic in both culture and diveristy of countries that they drill into to, but they also have a much larger domestic fanbase. There are arguably teams not even in the European leagues you can make a decent reasoned argument not based on 'ethos' and 'heart' that can show there are more then a few comparable outfits.

Oh God just get to the point! We don't care who you are, just tell us about Rangers!

So, if the creditors are to be believed and I can't think of any valid reason why they shouldn't be, Rangers will be around for many years to come.

Thoughts?

Didn't see it, but I think they are being highly optimistic if that is their view.

And why are you so willing to believe the auditors? One of the partners in the firm advised Craig Whyte before he took over Rangers. A slight conflict of interests there that has been picked up by quite a few folk.

This has got a long way to go and the FTT hasn't even been sorted out yet.

One of my mates of FB has just described Craig Whyte perfectly
Quote:
doesnt that Craig Whyte look as if hes been tripn on acid for a year in a dark cupboard n someones just opened the door...

I just think that if a club like Portsmouth - a relatively small club can come back from the brink of £100million in debt and run solvently (admittedly until the latest set of cock ups) then I wouldn't write off the old dog yet.

EDIT - Is Craig Whyte the one who did that interview on SSN where he didn't blink?

EDIT 2 - Mandaric interested in Rangers

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17072133

Definitely not enough money to run Rangers.
