I've had a bit of a break from this over the past week or 2. The usas/frag combo, famas and jet kamikazes were starting to get a little too frequent and annoying!

Played a bit over the weekend, and although the annoyances are still there, I had alot of fun and remembered why I love the game!

The highlight was on canals, in the z-11 and I was 15 or so for 1, and the opposition were gunning for me! No soflam/javelin combo in site, just lots of guys with stingers on the carrier. Shot many, in between reloads I dropped the helo on one guy for a road kill.... I wish I was recording!

Everytime I play I have a number of fun moments that are unique to battlefield! Best mp game since halo 2 for me!

Does the SOFLAM assist stinger missles or just the Javelin?

Cool. I unlocked the MAV last night and was getting mega points on Seine Crossing.

Just the javelin i believe! Drop a soflam and run away, hide, then pull the view finder out. Spot and mark the chopper, then hopefully at least one person on your team has a javelin. It can be fired from anywhere in the map for an almost guaranteed insta kill to the helo.

Decent Pilots can sometimes shoot the soflam, but with stinger spam and ground targets it's only a matter of time!

I love choppers, but it annoys me that people believe a single stinger should be a match! A co-ordinated squad, fair play... I'll stay on foot!

The soflam, citv and laser painter also help heat seekers fired from air vehicles. It's an almost guaranteed hit, regardless of flares.

Just plant and run, it's semi-autonomous and targets stuff by itself.

Not played this for afew weeks but will be getting back into it this week. On the patches note, have they patched out the "insta kill" MAV yet?

The MAV lifting and insta kill is still going on! The lift doesn't bother me, it normally results in the odd death but ultimately, your team winning the game. The mav kills are more annoying based on the drones being tough to kill. We had a knob doing it last night, so as a squad we invaded the spawn and tea bagged him... The least he deserves!

The off 'bad lucks' still occur, mildly frustrating. I've said all along, the amount of fun this game provides off sets the general minor frustrations. There was something about cod that meant I took very little joy from it, and ultimately, it wasn't fun!

Watching a mate in a jet smash air vehicles, followed by victory barrell rolls, while your painting them is so rewarding.

Usas and frag combo needs to be banned to anyone that is a colonel or above!

Why? It's total gooseberry fool now since they actually balanced it.

When was the tweak?! I've been playing this week and it still seems the number using it, especially on large maps is disproportionally high?!

I point blank refuse to use it, so wasn't aware it had been 'balanced'.

I'm waiting for the community to move onto the next OP gun, I suspect it will be my favourite, the L85A2.

Have been using the L85A2 loads recently really liking it but I can see it getting borked like other guns.
