It helps if they're preoccupied with food. Probably a good idea to take some bread or corn or whatever the hell birds like. That way it would also be possible to set up shots in a specific place.

I'm planning to build a small birdhouse to put into the tree in front of my home. I'll definitely be sure to take some seeds and that for next time.

I've been trying to get robins but I haven't seen one this year at all.

Really enjoyed those nature shots and the tilt shift effect you have on the buildings. Do you have that lens for it, or is it done on software?

It's a feature on my camera in the "scene" modes. I've got the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS. Really nice little camera actually.

A bunch more. Seems to take ages uploading onto imageshack so I'm doing it in parts. This is still Malaysia.

Nice. Looks like it takes a pretty good image in the light. This is the best I've bothered to take using the SII.

Here's something I just did:

It's not exactly pure photography, but I like it. Usually not a fan of overdoing things in Photoshop, but as it's just layer masks I don't mind it that much.

Your photos are always really sharp. The image clarity and the lighting are so good.

Nice. I did one of those years ago with a canon point and shoot. With no manual exposure it was nigh on impassible to get the lighting consistent.

Trust me, it only looks sharp because it's been shrunk down so much. I shot that at 3200 ISO and it's really noisy.
Here's the full size of the picture I uploaded (1200x800):

Stop down to something silly like f/22, put your flash on and point it at the ceiling above your subject and fire it using the onboard flash and you'll get much more depth of field and a better exposure.

I completely forgot that having a lower fstop gives more depth of field :fp:

I just did what you said and the results are much better. With this flash I can even shoot without the tripod and I'm using F32 for these shots at like iso 320 or 500.

Pics are also on my flickr, but flickr don't let me show you the high res I captured it in, so here they are posted from imgur. I'll also start putting a pin in each picture as a reference.

This first pic is of a brick, those water droplets are so small I couldn't even see them with my eyes, they are the tiny snowflakes that are immediately melting on contact with the bricks. It's strawberry floating cold today. It's blurry but I'm using a zoom lens at 70mm minimum, and it's difficult to stop my handshake in the cold.
