It failed on the RPG front, which was evident with Squaresoft running over to the Playstation, however both Zelda games, F-Zero X, Body Harvest, Wrestlemania 2000/No Mercy, Sin & Punishment, Starfox, Blast Corps, Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie, Space Station Silicon Valley, Paper Mario, Goemon's great adventure/Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, Fighter's Destiny, Yoshi's Story, Mischief Makers, the best version of Resident Evil 2 around, Smash Bros, Snowboard Kids, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, 1080, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Party, Kirby 64, Tuork trilogy, DK 64. all really amde me love the N64 over any other console out at that time

Some of my fav gaming moments in nearly all of them - Neither the PS1 or the Saturn ever game close to giving some memorable multiplayer moments as well - Goldeneye/No Mercy/Duke 64/Mario Kart and Smash Bros still get thrown on and love turns on Blast Corps between me and the missus -

Nintendo 64 was one of my favourite consoles, alongside Saturn. But I love PSone too - in fact, I love all three. If I'd have to pick though, it'd be in order - Saturn, N64 then PS.

Got a Saturn for Crimbo 96 and a PS for Crimbo 98. Not enough good games on N64 to warrant a purchase, borrowed my mate's with Mario 64 and Goldeneye though.

Says you Beans. There's more than enough good games on Saturn that warrants purchase. Just because it isn't for you, doesn't mean it's crap for everyone else.

In fact , none of consoles are crap. Each has more than enough games that appeals to every kind of gamer.

played alot of the ps1 tho, at my mates, up all night doing the resident evils, and round at my uncles played alot of metal gear at his.

me and my best mate at the time went for the saturn, tried to get as many games as possible between us, worked out alright.

I was being sarcastic, but they are excellent examples of crap consoles. Fortunately the past two generations haven't produced any completely crap consoles, but thats mainly because it is cost prohibitive for anyone to enter the market if they are just going to put out crap.

Goldeneye on the N64 brought me back to gaming. After the Amiga I didn't bother with consoles bar occasionally playing my brothers SNES.

After playing Goldeneye on a friends N64 I was hooked on again.... that started my obscene games collection back then.

I do like games on each console though and own all 3 still. Currently my PS1 has the most games.

What games have stood the test of time on all 3 consoles?

Easy. Smash Bros and Mario Kart 64.

Pretty much this. Once I installed the region free switch, then the Saturn became one of my all time favourite consoles. So many amazing games!

PS1 the later JRPGs have stood up well, but Mario 64 has to be the game from that generation that has stood the test of time the best.
