Who remembers the days of Tripod, ZeroCatch ett all? While some of these services still exist, they are dreadful these days. I'm wondering, do any of you all know how people make free cheap websites these days? I mean stuff that doesn't host streaming videos or high def pictures. Just a simple basic site without too many popups or crap. Any ideas?

there are alot of site building tools within it to let you make a very good saite and best of all no popups

only downside is you need a proper domian name registered as you have to point the name servers for the domain at their name servers.... (no sub domains from them like with traditional free hostings)

Do you have to pay for that (the proper domain name)? Is there any free solution to getting a crappy website up?

you do pay for the domain somthing like £5 for 2 years for a .co.uk address
