Recently I have started playing Phantasy Star IV on the Mega Drive Ultimate Collection. At first I was going to play through all of them in order, but that would mean I'd have to play III which is bobbins.

Unless someone can convince me that it's actually good...

Phantasy Star Online baby!

I played a bit into II, which was a strange one; very dated in a lot of ways, yet still very endearing and charming. I think it was mostly the awesome battle theme to be honest!

I'd like to try playing through all four at some point though, IV especially. They really seem like amazing games for their time, though III does come across as the black sheep.

I consider myself a decent RPG nut. Ive played pretty much every big JRPG PAL 16bit systems have to offer and I cannot for the life of me get in to PSIV. I don't know why but the plot doesn't grab me and the overworld is bobbins.

I only ever played online Episode 1 and a bit of Episode 2......never played any of the originals. I wasn't an RPG fan in my Mega Drive days. First RPG I played was FFVII
