I have to live with jaggies, i only have a ps3 and wii (for now).

I guess you are right, but i am a bit of a graphics whore and it pisses me off how much smoother 360 multiplatform games look, which is why i keep going back and forth!

Didn't you find any working emulators on segasaturn.co.uk?

Too complicated for me and i never got started tbh, been too busy with the current gen.

Saturn looks great on my 32" HDTV, though if you have a new TV bought only this year chances are it won't have a SCART socket.

yeah its awesome on my 42", running through an RGB cable through the AV receiver.

sega rally looks so good, as does virtua cop, but unfortunately LCD has killed the light gun genre. really needs ported to the wii, or even the move with sexed up graphics.

been rearranging everything, took a snap of the saturn games...

virtua cop 1 and 2 are missing, think i lent them to a mate.

and die hard arcade is on its way, a valued purchase with xmas money, also got a saturn arcade stick for some proper virtua fighter action.

to complete my humble collection i'm looking for panzer dragoon 3, guardian hero's, nights, clockwork knight 2, hexon, exhumed, toca touring and then a japanese saturn for some jap games i've always wanted, like the gundam games.

Echoing on Saturn looks good on HDTV....

Indeed it does, no borders and it looks nice enough to play. And yes, that's Daytona USA CCE, would of played original instead but I only have CCE. I was up all night playing Virtual On, I got perfect win against boss on set of Ground fights. I failed to defeat last boss before time's up, however. :(

I really want meaty game, but most are expensive. Can anyone think of cheapest Saturn game I should try/play? Or even better, let me borrow Panzer Dragoon Saga :P I've been on hunt for it, but it's £130+ on Ebay :( Hopefully it'll be ported to XBLA...

So um I've been very naughty with money... as I bought Nights into Dreams with 3D controller pad for Saturn, all in box with instruction manual.

It costs me £39.95, pretty cheapest I've seen for the bundle to be honest. I hope.

try resident evil for the saturn.

i'm sure you've played resi before, but not the saturn version, alot haven't, and its my favourite version of the game.

its a hell of alot harder than the playstation or pc version, as theres no auto aim, and its the only one to feature super hunters, ticks i believe they are called, they are brown hunters, faster, take more damage and are a bit smarter.

clockwork knight games are meaty platformers, the second especially will put you to the test in platforming, later in the game it gets very hard.

check out the FPS's, hexon, duke, doom and exhumed, quake - all old school huge mazes with traps, key finding, secrets etc.

i know.

doom on the saturn i think, don't quote me, but i think it also has deathmatch too.

i need to dig it out and check this, but i'm pretty sure.

Got Quake on PC; and Doom/Duke Nukem 3D on XBLA so I'm sorted on that front.

I loved Clockwork Knights original, although it is pretty hard. Don't think I've ever finished it! Did second one have saves? I remembered Bug! as well, although I'm not sure if that's just me being child who enjoys games like that.

Might go ahead and add Resident Evil to my collection, I have it on PS1 (via PS3 US account).

Looking forward to playing NiGHTs into Dreams for first time. Played Wii version and I didn't like it, but tons said original is miles better so I thought I'll give original a try.

I remember Alien Trilogy, funny how that still scares me along Doom, Quake and Duke Nukem 3D (at times), more so than so called horror games these days. Sure, they do make me jump but never gave that feeling that you're in danger, and one false move can strawberry float you up horribly.

After loving Victory Goal, I thought I'd give Worldwide Soccer 97 a chance. For some reason I don't really like latter, it feels slow and clunky compared to Victory Goal (Even if it was basic - it felt right for me). although in both games I feel CPU is cheating bastards who somehow outrun my guys when I'm in control of ball :( Can you dash in these games at all? Didn't say in manual...

Brah, give it another go, infact get some mates around and go against each other, or better co-op.

its sooo strawberry floating random, i love it.

last game i play, world cup, as northern ireland, me and my mate, the final, against wales! in a world cup.

its also great for some funny injury's, you get about a 6 feet infront of some one and hold down C, or "toe holk" button and it hits them in the face and injures about 90% of the time.

i love it, its great co-op, almost as good as nintendo world cup on the NES.

I'll have to get extra pad - unless 3D controller pad works for any Saturn games fine? (Analog doesn't have to work, since I see it has dpad and 6 buttons anyway), but yeah I've been fancying old school football game for Saturn for MP sessions. FIFA/PES nowdays aren't too great for quick MP sessions :/

theres a great bug in it.

go into your opponents half, just out side the D in their half, be in the centre of the field and hold C, your player will hoof the ball and it goes stright into the net and their keeper won't even try to catch it.

another one, is pass to the keep and take control of him, the bots won't attack him so you can run the field and score with him every time if you wanna cheat.

we played that game to death when we were kids.

love my saturn, second favourite console of all time, after the cube.

I just spent two or three hours on Victory Goal today... so um, yeah. On bright side I'm getting better and can now win against normal CPUs (lol i sux i know) so I've bumped it to Hard and the challenge is just about right, lost 0-2 sadly but will keep at it. I think I will start giving Worldwide Soccer 97 more chance once I've gotten good at Victory Goal. Wish these kind of games are on XBLA with online play, but will never happen because of FIFA/PES (which, I'll admit are good, just not my type over long run).

I've been watching youtube videos of Sega Saturn games I've missed out, as well some I just remembered. Virtua Fighter Kids for one, man that was pretty awesome game. Pretty much same as VF2 but wasn't it faster too?

As of favourite console... it's either Sega Saturn or N64 being top number one, so many memories and I still play them from time to time. same with PS1&2 games, as well awesome Gamecube games. <3 360's my favourite console too, but that's only because of XBLA.

Seven. Probably an idea to chip your Saturn so you can play backups. The system has been dead for about 13 years, so it's not as if Sega are going to be losing money. The only people who'll suffer are the people charging extortionate sums for vintage titles.

But I like owning real copies :shifty: It's always been that way, I had chipped PS1 but didn't enjoy pirated copies as much as actual copies I own on it.

I'm weird I know. Still, that's good advice if people aren't bothered about playing pirated games, just I'm bit of collector  (Just not sort who buys games sealed and keep them sealed however, I play all of games I own)

i r teh same.

i buy games, for the most part, that i owned as a kid, for each console i owned as a kid, although its starting to become more than that as i've got atleast 4 consoles now that i didn't own plus games (CDI, 3DO, Turbographx and Mastersystem) but i don't relly collect for them, just have them.

have almost all the games for the saturn i want, was tempted to go for all of them, there is only 290 or something, but who has the time or space or money.

retro wise, i'm on the look out for mega drive disney games, they are next on my list.

Pretty much the same here, opted out of having a chipped PS1 because I wanted the games with their boxes and manuals. Meant not having many games but meh, I prefer to have few games and really get stuck into them then doing what Hugo/Suzz do and buy every game that comes out and never have time to get into em.

Same with recollecting old Saturn/Dreamcast games, I'm only really bothered about rebuying my old games for nostalgia, I've got no interest in buying games I didn't originally have on those consoles even if they are 'classics'.
