The Gamecube controller has to be one of the most well-designed in gaming. So comfortable.

I spent a large chunk of my first student loan cheque on a Gamecube (little surprise I dropped out then). I got it bundled with Luigi's Mansion, Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil all of which were excellent games. For me Gamecube was all about the exclusive titles. Sure there was multi format stuff and it had strong support from a handful of big developers like EA and Capcom but most companies just didn't get on board or abandoned the Gamecube so my best memories are the likes of first party Nintendo stuff such as Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime 1 & 2 or the Resident Evil series, MGS Twin Snakes, Baten Kaitos, Tales of Vesperia and Skies of Arcadia.

It's testament to the greatness of this console that many of these games still go for hefty sums on eBay. It brought a tear to my eye when desperate for cash around 6 years ago I was forced to sell my beloved little purple box and I truly feel sorry for anyone that has never held a Gamecube controller in their hands.

I once owned Second Sight but I seem to remember it having some unusual camera angles and it made me sick so I didn't really get anywhere with it.

Fabulous machine with some tremendous games. I can remember one new years day when me and the wife(gf then) spent all day playing animal crossing and dingying the phone.

I actually have games that I have yet to start. Twin snakes, second sight, viewtiful joe and resident evil zero.

Favourites are wind waker, sunshine, monkey ball, chibi robo, ace golf and resident evil 4.

Mario golf and billy hatcher are 2 games that I just dont enjoy. I started playing metroid prime and what I did play I really enjoyed, but I had to give up due to my ongoing battle with motion sickness.

Great machine though and easily in my top 3 alongside the commodore 64 and original playstation.

Second Sight was a fantastic game, have great memories playing that one Christmas, lots of varied gameplay, cool locations and quality story.

Forgotten Gem that I think

I've also got Second Sight but yet to play it. I haven't played Twilight Princess for a few days due to kids being kids,Outland on Psn and pulling the N64 out of the attic for some Pilotwings related fun.

Picked up Starfox Adventures again from ebay, as well finally picked up Super Monkey Ball 2 which I've been meant to get for ages. I'm slowly building up my Gamecube collection. I need to find PAL version of Animal Crossing as one I have is NSTC US, and I'll like to be able to load up my PAL towns alongside NTSC towns but I'm not in rush.

Might play Star Fox Adventures next month and try to finally beat it. Never managed to back then.

Bit of an underrated one, that. Got it on launch with Luigi's Mansion and it kept me occupied for months - unlike LM.

Played through it again a few weeks ago. Still love it. Great soundtrack as well.

Running around at the speed of sound, got places to go... etc etc..

Mario Party 4 came in the post today, disc and manual in decent enough nick but considering the price I paid I'm not too thrilled about the condition of the case it's a bit beat up.

Want to play Starfox Assault on the gc but can't seem to acquire it without resorting to some silly prices on ebay.
Apparently it's only 30mins worth of gaming

Still Starfox 8-)

I spent a few hours last week having some good old fashioned Smash Brothers Melee fun with my brother, who spams Link's overpowered supermoves like a little bitch. Still managed to win the majority of games with some well timed FALCOOON PUNCH efforts.

falcon and ganadorf were epic in melee, i dislike ganadorf in brwal, they slowed him down too much, although they bought in ike who's basically the new ganadorf.

being playing jedi outcast 2 on the cube.

I used to mix it up between Roy and Captain Falcon in Melee. Never anything better than an average player either, despite years of multiplayer action. Fighting games just aren't my forte.

Link and Toon Link were my weapons of choice in Melee. Was known for breaking out Mr Game & Watch from time to time too.
