I think you completely miss the point. As has been your problem since before I can remember, you don't listen.

If you really want I can take my time and break it down for you but the 80% is nothing to do with the word marginal. I think you're confusing concepts here. There's more than one way to win chips in a hand, not just getting it all in preflop.

I do listen - I want to listen - but can you do it without the arrogance, without the telling me what I'm like? You've never even met me, have no idea how I play - so don't make assumptions yourself. Explain to me without the 'bully' aspect and I'll happily listen. I despise anyone talking down to anyone EVER. Do that with me in real life, and you've lost me full stop. Its my hugest pet hate.

I would say as much as it might be a +EV spot (the majority of the time) - the likelyhood that you will get a much better spot later are surely +EV. You definitely don't want him to call, and with too many calling stations out there willing to call with A-J, A-10 etc I would err on the side of caution. You don't neccesarily have to take down every hand when you are ahead, make every single best possible decision - just take the ones that lead you to being propelled to win. I am not a fan of K-Q, and especially K-Qo - thats a hand I'd want to be shipping, not be re-shipping over some-one else.

I basically agree with this. Even if it's a tiny bit more +ev to make the shove, i'd rather skip it and find much better spots later on.

Although if it is a 180-man and you are 6-tabling them or something then i'l be more likely to do the shove, but in a scheduled MTT I think I play safe and wait for a better chance.

I'm happy shoving there. Fact is while the structure in the 4.50's is decent you still need to take every chance you can get to accumulate chips late on. As we can see in the HH the guy's not been overly tight and while the hand sample of 1.1k hands for Luw doesn't tell us how he's been playing in this particular game, it's probably a safe guess to think he hasn't been out of line too much, so he probably won't get looked up too light.

Those of you folding here, what's the worst hand you get in with?

Can just check my thoughts on Luw's first hand. I was watching it live and said he should have be more on the river. I felt that after the guy called the turn his range had busted flushes and top pair/2nd pair hands in it. I felt if he was calling his bet he was calling much more, otherwise folding so bet big to maximise value when he has something.

I think he shouldn't be completing that hand. It's 5 high just pitch it and save the SB.

Anyone consider this? You can stay at ours (in Coventry) and we could provide transport to the venue as well.

For the record I am definitely in but I can only play Day C. I'll be taking the Friday off of work and travelling up to Coventry on Thursday evening. Thankfully I won't need to rush back thanks to it being a bank holiday weekend.

What happened in this 10k?

I would play that tournament, but I think I'd need to be staked half of the amount to really be able to justify it, at least. Might have to give it a miss.

EDIT - Just checked train costs, will probably have to give it a miss :(

Rex might stake you. Probably the only one who could afford to!

Just checked the trains - I can get there and back for under £25 total which is pretty sweet, I'll book the tickets tonight. I'll sort out my leave at work tomorrow.

Nothing bad, I got tilted though because I got a message from the online chat telling me at about 12:30 there'd be a server restart at 3. Now the 30r usually finishes about 3:30. So I tried to talk to customer support but didn't get a resposne for 40 minutes then gave up. So I figured I'd try to secure the min cash rather than go for the win because I'd be disconnected at the FT anyway so I got really tight and pissed off.

Was also massively pissed at that message. It's pretty stupid that they can send that message out so late. I'd be in the 17.5 for 4 hours and I get a message saying in 2 hours the servers will be down for WHill. Again no response from the chat operators. Pretty terrible service really.

It's a pity Celeste is no longer your personal WH advisor.

I'd deffo be looking to sell some of my action, for anyone who might be interested. Probably around the 50% marker.

Count me in too for the Friday. Should be a good weekend. :D

Edit: I'd probably sell/trade up to 30% of my action, but we can sort that out closer to the time.

I just sent a complaint email off. Usually they're quite good at repsonding to them. I'd love to go down to the goliath but I don't think the buyin justifys the costs involved.

Let us know how the email goes. I might need to send one. ;)

How far are you? There aren't too many costs. Rake etc are big but we can host a few people at ours for free. It's also fun meeting with everyone. Looking forward to it already.
