If there is going to be another level editor tool with a vast array of options included, then i will almost certainly buy it. If not however, i'll probably wait until it sees a price reduction. It looks good though.

Reminds me of what I remember FarCry Instincts looking like. We've hit the ceiling for the current generation I think, every new game no longer impresses like it did a year back.

Ubisoft really must try harder. If they're going for this sort of gameplay (and in a bloody jungle), at least try to match Crysis. It all looked really poorly done. Off colours, bad animations, effects etc not lining up properly and looking funny, terrible sound, poor looking gun play. And are we still not past little barely-interactive cutscenes to link different sections?

Could be good, but Ubisoft have a terrible habit of coming up with cool back-of-the-box features for a game that never quite come together into a whole. See: Assassin's Creed, FarCry 2, Various Splinter Cells etc

I agree but based on that trailer my fears have already been allayed. Seems more like Far Cry (1), which is good to see.

Very cool trailer.

I do agree with the last paragraph there but the rest is confusing to me. This obviously isn't trying to push the boundaries of realism like Crysis or Battlefield: it's highly stylised and probably has more in common, graphically, with Borderlands. I think it looks amazing.

Is that baby agreeing with me? Because at first I though FC was going to be brilliant, then I discovered the outposts. I never went back to it after that.

No, it's wondering why you are so wrong.

Yes there are problems with 2 but it's good game once you get passed the problems.

It really wasnt, I wanted it to be so good, but after driving round for a day only to find that all the people you killed are back, I was disappointed due to the fact it was so desperate to be realistic, which it wasnt. I t was boring and a little bit pants

Far Cry 2 divided opinion quite a bit, but it's one of my favourite games from this generation. The checkpoints could be a little annoying from time to time, but you could often avoid them.

Far Cry 2 is one of my favourites too. I enjoyed the combat so much that I relished in every firefight in the game.

I'm not sure why I didn't get on with Far Cry 2. For some reason, I just found it a bit boring. It lacked something.

I found it hard to get on with the first time I played it but then it went on sale on steam so I thought it would be worth a punt and I really have enjoyed it. The gun play really is good and the only thing that annoyed me was the respawning enemies.

Stylised or not, they aren't pleasing to me. And it's not just about the graphics. It just seems mediocre in every aspect from what I could tell from the video.

Each to their own. I thought Far Cry 2 was abysmal and still though the Far Cry 3 trailer was amazing. You are clearly mental.

Mental.
