Are you actually going to try and get some decent scores because I can give you my strats for all levels. They would be pretty in depth but I'm not going to waste time if not.
As for EC:
Floor 1: Restart until you get the best layout but if you are lazy I suppose don't. Optimal is two items in the middle section but is rare. I carry on with one of the medals in the middle and the other two and key around the edge. From start grab about half of your pikmin with a whistle. Make sure you have at least 10 and run towards one of the medals. Lob them all on. Switch to Louie who you left waiting in the middle. Grab the rest and stick 15 (or 10 depending on the medal) on the other medal and 3 on the key. Finally collect the nearby one. Go and wait at the exit which will be the one where there was no item. You want to be doing this with 80 left on the clock at least. If I am slower than 83 I restart and best I think is 86. Any faster is insania.
Floor 2: Obv there is a random element here so I cannot give anything specific but I don't spray right away. The layout changes but I essentially take out one side first going around killing everything. Don't collect really. I am looking for the bloody eggs to mong. Mong and kill gadges then proceed to take everything back. I spray to kill the big guy but if he is on the other side for example I won't have sprayed yet. You get 2 but it really depends on what is happening as to when I use them. Essentially though you want one to kill the big guy. When you use it make sure you swarm as many bulborb as you can as this will save time. If you are facing a bulborb and they are not sprayed just use the one hit rain kill instead. Using the second spray is usually done to make taking medals back faster. They take a bit of time but are so fast with spray. Something you will probably start to realise if you play lots if often the most efficient thing to do is to kill everything or LOADS of things and THEN carry back. Means you kill faster with a large group.
Also some general advice applicable to most levels. Work from the back inwards so the close things come last. The rest is just really sorting speed. Obv you need to know the min requirements for each thing you bring back and be able to sort at speed. When sorting in areas of lots of items you want to avoid overloading an item in order to carry lots back so put min on as much as possible unless you have like a million pikmin anyway and can max them. This can be quite hard though in areas where there are lots of things. What I do is try and remove the smaller things first like marbles by lobbing one to clear the area. This often means any excess pikmin can go on your heavier objects to speed them back. Get good at counting as you throw as well. Might sound stupid but you don't want to swarm large objects when pikmin are scarce so you have to be able to spam a and count correctly. It's ghey when you thing you have done it correct then 2 minutes later come back and see 14/15 trying to carry a strawberry floating shell or orange or something.
I might just make the topic on LLC a general CS thread and see how many people start playing as well. Nobody posts here really but us 3.
