Dynamite Headdy is one of those games that hasn't aged a day. Its creativity, wonderful visual style and incredibly fun gameplay are still as oddly captivating as ever. Holds a soft spot for me as well, it's the first truly bizarre game I ever played

No idea why my mother decided to buy my brother that game for his birthday, but we were glad she did.
Somewhat miffed that I've never been able to complete it though, heh. I want to track down a Japanese copy as apparently it's quite a bit easier than the western version.
On the subject of the Mega Drive, it's a system I'm about to really start collecting for. I'm sending a Mega Drive model 1 (with "High Definition Graphics" labelled on the top; that's a sign it has good sound quality apparently) to be modded for imports+60Hz, and I've got a list of games I want to get in good time. Love this system

It gets tricky if you always want the games at 60Hz though, some PAL games will run fine when switched over into it while a few will have problems (I know Street Fighter's music plays too fast if switched), so I'll end up with a weird mishmash of EU/JP Mega Drive games and some US Genesis ones.
Also I'm sure everyone agrees we got the better name for the system? Not that Genesis isn't badass, but it'll always be a Mega Drive to me
