I've just got Live and I want to play a few games of GTAIV online, but I don't want to play with randoms because that sucks and they just kill you.

I'm aware that everyone trades in their games after they've played them these days (fools) but if there is anyone who still has it, gizza shout and we'll blay. Gamertag is Rooty the Pie if you didn't already know.

GTA IV or the GTA IV Episodes?

What kind of multiplayer? Death Matches, races, that free roam stuff? It's been so long since I played GTA that I can't remember what the multiplayer is like.

GTAIV itself, or The Lost and Damned (that's the only DLC I own).

Not really interested in anything other than free roam as there's much more fun to be had making up your own games rather than playing the ones they give you. Of we get a big enough team together I'm open to playing them though.

Explanation as to why it took me so long to join a game.

First tried to with my GTA IV disc and it's all like "lol you need Lost and Damned content to play".

So I tried using my Episodes disc and it's all like "lol Episodes is not compatible with derp"

So went back to the GTA IV disc which finally worked.

I think that's because I was in the Lost and Damned content. When I came out of that and went back to the proper game it seemed to work

does gta4 pc (on steam) support 360 controller? i'd consider re-buying for free roam hijinks if it does. once i'm back online obviously
