WWE RAW Ratings Breakdown

Quarter 2: gained 3,000 (Tag match)
Q3: lost 73,000 viewers (Triple H/Undertaker video package)
Q4: gained 283,000 viewers (Justin Gabriel vs. Santino Marella)
Q5: gained 1,346,000 viewers (Triple H/Undertaker/Michaels in-ring confrontation)
Q6: lost 1,449,000 viewers (Jerry Lawler vs. Jack Swagger)
Q7: lost 32,000 viewers (Sheamus & Ziggler vs. Bryan &Morrison)
Q8: gained 255,000 viewers
Over-run: gained 1,539,000 viewers (Rock/Cena/Miz), to peak at a massive 7.31 million viewers & a 4.8 rating.

Kinda getting the feeling this new (old?) audience is here for The Rock, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels...everyone from ten years ago, basically. Fans have also figured out that all the good stuff happens at the top of the hour. Rest of the show isn't worth bothering with.

Good that the tag barely lost any viewers. Surprised Lawler/Swagger lost so many :o

Wha...

Is "The King" back wrestling? Against Cole... a commentator? At a main event?

At least WWE havent sink to a new low by having an anicent Hulk Hogan (an imposter) having a smackdown with an even more ancient Macho Man (an imposter.) and that event never really happened!

Anyone remember that?

Yep. Amazingly, many people have it down as the best build of all the matches and one of the most anticipated.

I wonder if The Rock is actually in the best shape to pull of a good match now or in the near future..

He's got a bodybuilder's physique thanks to his movie-making requirements. Has he ever been as large as he is at the moment? No wonder he had trouble with the kip up and looked a bit out of sorts in general during his brief physicality (7 year ring rust aside). I think he'd need longer than until Summerslam to be in the best possible shape for a Cena match.

Skippy wrote:Pretty stoked for Mania now. It's a good card and should make for a great event. Only two matches on the card don't have much potential to be great (the tag matches) everything else could end up stealing the show. Cena/Miz should and hopefully will main event, people want to see Rock more than they want to see the fate of the streak.

Also I think we'll see some kind of backstage interaction between Austin and Rock.

Getting really excited myself despite not being completely sold on the card. I'll not be watching it until Monday though as my friend is coming over to watch it with me.

Played this song on the Bryan & Vinny Show last Friday:

With numerous inserted drops towards TNA. Never a truer song played in the entirety of their show.

That is a great strong overrun rating for RAW. Surprising that Lawler lost a lot of viewers because in recent weeks its been his and cole segments that have been gaining viewers. But the only thing about these ratings is that it's a bit trivial sometimes as we don't know why people tune in and out of shows. If you are a typical channel surfer or someone attempting to watch two shows at the same time you unfortunately don't know what is happening on the other channel so there is a good chance that you can miss certain segments without realising and not because you didn't actually want to watch it.

Anyway. I am so getting stoked for Mania now. I have monday off work and have 3 options.
1 - order it myself and watch it live (in HD)
2 - go around to my parents the next day and watch it there as my younger brother has ordered it (in SD)
3 - wait until monday evening and go to my older brothers place and watch it with lots of junk food (in HD)

I just can't decide what to do. I did this last year and at about 11pm i decided to watch it live but my sky box wouldn't let me order it because there was a price limit bloc on it or something, i phone up and they said that they had reset it but it would take 24hrs for the box to realise so i couldn't watch it :x

This really has been great. They've done numerous writers the last few days - Court Bauer, David Lagana, Chris Gough, Andrew Goldstein, someone who also worked on 90210. Just some amazing, & absolutely ludicrous, stories. Stephanie McMahon calling Court Baurer aside for being "a mark" & using "wrestling vernacular" being one in particular that sounds utterly absurd...

Here it is. The finale of a year long quest to find the "GRAPL 3 - GRAPL HARDER" champion. Pell is in a commanding position and has form on his side against competitors who have fluctuated with their scores. It looks as though he has first place sewn up but with so many points available in this round it could all be taken away from him. One of the stories from the David Lagana & Alex Greenfield interview on F4Wonline:

F4W Writers' Week wrote:David Lagana: Piper was going to ask 'Taker "Are you afraid of the Great Khali?" and 'Taker was going to back Piper into the corner, he would choke him and let go and walk away. Not answer the question, but you'd think 'Is he or isn't he? Was he mad about the question?' And Undertaker didn't like the Creative, he thought it made his character look weak. Which I understood, but I thought it'd be an interesting way for the character to show some weakness only to eventually overcome The Giant, Giant. Well Vince loved it. He loved it on Sunday. He loved it on Monday. He did not love it on Tuesday when 'Taker told in front of the group 'it was gooseberry fool'.

Alex Greenfield: Yes! And by writing on the back of his run sheet 'THIS IS gooseberry fool' and just holding it up like one of the guys at a sporting event who holds up the score cards. Just holding it up at Vince in the meeting. So the thing that hosed strawberry floating Dave on this is Vince wasn't just okay with this, he was full on, up until the plane to the event, saying 'God Damn I don't give a strawberry float if 'Taker doesn't like it, that's where we're going'. Until 'Taker actually mentioned it in front of a room full of people, at which point he just turned on Dave like a rabid dog had just...it just sucked.

Two faced bastard.
