strawberry floating hell!

Last night.

I blame the curse, personally.
I had a great PM that I sent to Hulohot to explain my end of the game before he told me I couldn't take Manuel with me. Here is what was going to happen:
Quote:
Wait for others to board the boat and begin to set sail.
Get Manuel to swim after them with me on his back. I will make my power move this turn to be that Frank's Golden Gun can't fire at me.
Give them an ultimatum. They either surrender all of their powers and weapons overboard and swear allegiance to me and my goals for a world utopia and making them my lieutenants, or die now.
I'll fire my Golden Rocket Launcher at Nathaniel's boat and blow them all up if one of them doesn't agree to my terms!
If they agree to my terms, they will be forced to seal the pact by them asking Manuel to make it impossible for them to betray me, meaning future betrayal will be impossible.
Manuel will swim for home and to victory!
...
Once back home, I will use Manuel to conquer the civilised world. I'll dethrone each King in turn and claim their crowns. Soon the armies of Europe will be under my control and the Roon Empire will march East towards Asia to fight for their lands.
I look after the families of the dead explorers, giving them enough wealth to live comfortably for the rest of their days, enough for the shrewd to keep their family financially stable for a number of generations.
The battles are long and hard but we finally make it to the Pacific Ocean by the time I reach 86 years old. I've built a utopia. Everyone's fear of my and Manuel's power causes everyone to live virtuously and my empire thrives with no major crime and a significant improvement in the quality of life. Taxes are low because security costs are almost non-existent. My people praise my work, calling me Roon the Magnificent and worshipping Manuel the Even.
I've had many sons to many wives, but I feel none have the strength of will to control Manuel's immense power. I consider having Manuel restore me to a younger age and making me immortal, but I begin to tire of this world and long for death. I don't pick a son to take my crown, and simply ask Manuel to continue our work as I breathe my last.
A power struggle breaks out between my numerous sons and soon we are in the depths of civil war. Manuel has his own army of loyalists whom he fights alongside to restore order. Foreign powers see this as an opportunity to destabilise the Roon Empire before it turns its attention to their nations and intervene. The first world war has truly begun.
Upon seeing the mass devastation that has occurred, Manuel sees the great work of the past destroyed and the true nature of mankind. He ignites himself and explodes on the main battle lines and wipes out 95% off all the battling armies. In the power vacuum, the Empire truly fractures back to somewhat traditional national states and begins to rebuild itself once more. Manuel is no more.
Then he told me Manuel couldn't leave the islands AND that I had to leave or the curse from my crown was going to kill me if I stayed. So I was forced onto the boat and the situation that killed me. (Oh, I never saw Hulohot describe me destroying the crown to stop the curse. I was supposed to do that straight after the collapse of Eyre Skye Castle, but I'm going to assume it wouldn't have made a difference).
With that in mind, I had no choice but to get into a situation where I was killed, so it doesn't really bother me too much.
