"It's great to be in The Grapple, predicting The Results for that great promotion, The Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. The Jeff Jarrett has been very good to The Bret Hart. I was screwed by the HBK and The Earl Hebner, you know. The Owen is dead. The Bret Hart is dying a little inside every minute. When The Nuclear Holocaust comes along, The Bret Hart is going to be left with The Cockroaches, telling them about how I was The Screwed. They won't The Care. All my friends and family are The Dead. The Stu used to piss in my mouth."

Don't think WWE care about TNA? They've removed Hogan & Mankind flying off the Cell in the WWE intro package that signifies the start of all their programming. The first airing was at Tribute to the Troops, which a rather awkward implementation of Ted DiBiase.

Ted Dibiase is in no way a good enough sub for Hogan in that intro. But Foley finally going off shows its all about to kick off.

Well, my predictions were a lot of shite. I read Deaner wasn't getting sacked just a few minutes before the deadline but couldn't be bothered changing it.

Some surprise results, mind you.

The TNA PPV doesn't look that bad on paper, and the last 2 matches look great. Will check it out later.

My girlfriend got me Jericho's book for my birthday. Only read the first chapter, but it seems really, really good, even if I'm reading it in Jericho's heel voice, meaning it's taking me ages

I'm sure someone else must have posted this but i've not really been on here this weekend and i can't be bothered to go back through the pages. Interesting though.

Spike TV president Kevin Kay tells Multichannel News that TNA Impact will air on Monday nights on a quarterly basis after the first Monday show on January 4.

Kay says he is open to moving Impact to a permanent slot on Monday nights if the show draws a "significant audience."

"If it's successful, I'm not opposed to moving it to Monday nights,” Kay said. "This is the time for this...TNA has a lot of momentum with Hulk Hogan and we have the ability to market and promote it."

It needs to retain its audience (so anywhere between 1.0 & 1.3) at the least.

Hogan's much vaunted "3.0" is literally impossible. 2 if you're being optimistic. 1.5 if you're a realist.

Now that's an interesting question, what do TNA and WWE do?

I think 0.7 and 4.0 if Hart shows.

I'm have no confidence in Hogan making any difference to the rating at all, I'm actually expecting it to drop. Hart on the other-hand should give the WWE a nice boost in the ratings.

I'm actually far more interested in the changes to the Impact Zone than I am the Hogan debut. So when it comes down to Hogan or Hart, I know who I'd choose.

By the Way, that was a fantastic documentary on Hart posted a few pages back.

TNA had a street team at WWE's Smackdown tapings in Orlando last night. They were there promoting the three hour iMPACT! on January 4th by handing flyers outside the arena. WWE eventually ejected them from the vicinity.

Talking of Smackdown, here's the spoilers for Christmas Day...

  • Vickie Guerrero and Teddy Long are in the kitchen. Vickie brags about her "delicious Christmas recipes" including potatoes and turkey. When her back is turned, Hornswoggle appears on the table and takes a huge bite out of her turkey.
  • John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Finlay, and R-Truth defeated Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk and Lke Gallows. Morrisin hit his Starship Pain on Ziggler for the win.
  • Rey Mysterio & Undertaker ended in Disqualification when Batista ran in & attacked Taker as he was about to deliver the chokeslam on Mysterio. Undertaker laid out Batista before Rey hit Taker with the hurricanrana and Batista with a 619. It was a mess.

Hour 2

  • Cyime Tyme rolled Slam Master J, dressed as Santa, backstage. They stole his gift bag, jacket, and went out and tossed the gifts to the fans at ringside.
  • Cryme Tyme defeat two jobbers. They continued handing out presents and gifts to ringside fans.
  • Mickie James and Maria defeated Beth Phoenix and Layla. Lots of heat for Layla and Michelle McCool who was doing commentary at ringside. After Mickey pinned Layla, she went to get her some of McCool. That led to a 3 on 2 attack which did not bode well for Mickie and Maria.
  • Segment with Chris Jericho where he whines and complains about losing the tag belts to DX. He then questions why the Hart Dynasty is deserving of a title shot. Harts come down. Jericho backstrokes a little but again questions why they deserve tag title shot. DX interuppts them via the big screen.
  • DX say they have Christmas presents for Jericho and Hart Dynasty. For Jericho, they have a "Tickle Me Big Show" doll which farts when you press his stomach. They also have a one way ticket out of RAW. For the Hart Dynasty they have a 1 way ticket to Canada where there is snow, bears, hockey, more snow and more bears. Pretty typical DX stuff here.
  • Jericho then tells Hart Dynasty to make an impact because this is how DX plays their immature childish games. And then, the Hart Dynasty hit their finisher on Jericho.
  • Another segment with Vickie and Teddy. Vickie apologizes for the previous Hornswoggle interruption. Vickie shows off her stuffing recipe which Teddy finds disgusting and asks how the Guerreros can eat that stuff. Hornswoggle appears again and throws a pie in both Vickie and Teddy's face.
  • DX beat The Hart Dynasty in the main event with a Pedigree. Before the match, Triple H gives his own rendition of "Twas the Night Before Christmas." After the match, Hornswoggle appeared and posed with DX.

Considering how many people say they only watch WWE for GRAPL I was expecting this to be TNAs big chance to gain fans on this forum. There was no activity during the PPV at all  Except for Trugamez weird fetish post :? Says everything about TNA.

TNA: Whatever it was called Results
ROTS - 11
The Floex - 11
Lonestar - 10
BaronCrimbo - 10
Zellery - 10
sw26 - 9
Gaminglegend - 9
Hank Scorpio - 9
Jam-master Jay - 8
KKLEIN - 8
E-man - 8
Irene Demova - 8
Deadpool - 7
Bork - 7
Balloon Sod - 7
Born Skippy - 7
Trugamez - 7
Chocolate Jim - 7
Lucien - 8
Blackouthero - 6
Mockmaster - 6 (some really weird predictions here)
Ginga - 5
Psychicsykes - 3

So ROTS finds himself in another tiebreak. Two on the trot and second in a week! I would do an impact question to fit TNA but I can't bring myself to watch anymore of that shite so it's another Raw question. Infact it's the same one as last week.

FLOEX AND ROTS NEED TO POST IN THE THREAD THE AMOUNT OF TIME THEY THINK SHEAMUS WILL BE ONSCREEN TONIGHT.

GRAPL LEADERBOARD
Zellery - 107
Return of the star - 105
Deadpool - 104

Cropolite - 51
Ironmaiden - 46
Baronzemo - 43
Vesp - 18

The Floex - 11
Jam-master Jay - 8

Zellery is top again. Yay :| Perhaps the biggest irony of all is that AJ Styles didn't enter! :o And the current hotshot and story of the month is Chocolate Jim ROTS! Worked his way up to second with two impressive performances on the trot. A sign of things to come?
