I don't think Yukes make the Fire Pro games.

It just seems odd for a company with a wrestling license to buy a studio that was working on a wrestling game and then not put them to work on another wrestling game. Considering how successful this years UFC game was for THQ I could see them focusing Yukes on that franchise so that they keep ahead of EAs MMA game in quality terms at least ( I think having the UFC license should keep them safe saleswise) while getting the TNA teams to takeover the Smackdown franchise would offer them the oppurtunity to give the series the boot up the arse it needs.
Maybe they'll just end up making another legends type game instead though.

I'd rather have the Aki lads back working on WWE games over the Midway lot. While I'm at it Spike make the Fire Pro games and Human did it before them while Yukes did something called Exciting Pro Wrestling.

THQ, a sports franchise and quality in the same sentence? Same as 09 with a few more fighters scanned in properly I put money on it.

I can't believe just how useless 'The Ultimate WWE Trivia Book' is. For an official product, it's a poorly researched piece of gooseberry fool. Some of the answers are so wrong it beggars belief.

What is the name of the WWE's February PPV?

A) Backlash
B) Judgment Day
C) Armageddon

Their answer: Backlash
The real answer: NONE OF THE ABOVE

Who did Steve Austin defend the title against at Backlash '99?

Their Answer: Dude Love
The real answer: The Rock

Well surely the first one can be forgiven if it was printed before the name change? The second one is unforgivable though. :fp:

EDIT: Oh gooseberry fool, wasn't Backlash after WM? :fp:

TLC is this Sunday so it's time for the GRAPL predictions. But first a recap of the rules. I suggest some of you read this as every question I was asked during the bonus round was already addressed in here. Never be afraid to ask a question but don't be a lazy sod either.

GRAPL is simple to play. The Friday before every WWE PPV this year I'll post up a prediction sheet. You enter your predictions and post the sheet. For every one you get right you earn points and points are tallied up on the leaderboard. If you are top of the leaderboard after Wrestlemania next year then you win!

Same as last year you can change your predictions as many times as you like up till the 11pm Sunday deadline. Anyone found to be editing posts after that will be disqualified from that PPV. Any changes to the PPV after I've posted the prediction form will be ignored and the predictions for that match will be null and void. You can enter as little PPV's as you like.

Does anybody think there's a chance that Sheamus will win the title, so Cena can win it back when they go up against TNA on Jan 4?

It's going to be an interesting GRAPL.

Don't worry, it's very good of you, and you have quicker delivery than Play.com at the moment.

Thanks again.

Rog, in the TLC match, aren't the belts going to be hung, so there won't be a loser as such?

I have no idea. Could go either way. Well spotted, I'll take that question out.

Yeah that's the flaw in the question.

I got confused between Backlash and No Way Out at first though, hence my edit.

If the WWE's push of Kofi is to continue, you'd think they'd let him win at TLC. But knowing the WWE, they're tired of him now and have decided that Orton will win.

If they give them enough time and Orton wins by the skin of his teeth it will still elevate Kofi though.

The Right After Wrestling show on Sirius radio sent out the following announcement, regarding their interview with Hulk Hogan, and his claims as far as his TNA debut goes…

HOGAN SAYS THAT TNA IMPACT RATINGS WILL "TRIPLE" ON JANUARY 4

When interviewed by Arda Ocal and Corey Erdman of the "Right After Wrestling" program on SIRIUS 98, Hulk Hogan predicted that Nielson ratings would triple to a 3.0 on his debut appearance on TNA Impact on Monday January 4. Hogan went on to list names such as AJ Styles and Matt Morgan as guys with "something there" and that he will look to mold and "bring to life".

Hogan's insane! To get a 3.0 is nigh on impossible. It would mean over doubling the current iMPACT! audience.

I put Orton down for the win so it leads to a street fight or something at the Rumble where Kofi gets the big win. Hopefully something goes on over on Smackdown building Morrsion up so it's between the two of them to win any MITB match if it happens.

This is the end of the feud as far as I can tell. On Raw they called it 1-1 and said that this would be the decider.
