A few nights ago I was watching A History channel special, and as always it was something about Hitler. As the program was going the phone rang and when I went to pick it up I nearly said "Heil Hitler" but was able to stop halfway through the Heil and turn it into Heillo .

So what was your last slip? Ever had any really bad ones like calling one of your teachers mom?

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this on the old GR before, but I once referred to 'Radiohead' as 'Eighthours' in a real-life conversation. Yep. Got some blank stares for that one, alright.

We've all done it.

On a couple of occasions, I've almost said goodbye to my mum on the phone the same way I do to my girlfriend. 'Bye babe'. It did, once, come off sounding like 'Bye b..um'.

I once referred to Gandalf as a half-decent mod. Does that count?

I think I called my teacher mum once.

And when I worked in Tesco, I nearly called someone a 'stupid c-word' after thinking to myself after a rough night 'Bloody hell does this c-word have a lot of vouchers'.

I was talking to one of the doctors at work and she had a rather revealing top on giving a fine view of her cleavage. I was telling her about the new drug testing kits but referred to them as 'testing tits' instead whilst i gaped at her norks.

Once my mum and auntie were talking about some chavs that called themselves the "Ratby Massive" in our village. For some reason I called them the "GR massive". I think I got away with it though.

I've called teachers "mum" before.
