Cena still coming off not too badly in the live promos against the Rock. Ok show, enjoyed bits and pieces of it.

I presume Cena wasn't banging Mickie James while he was married to his wife...

Pre-recorded Rock vignettes = Awesome
But live in the ring he was scared to leave the script. The crowd were calling him toothfairy,Cena was interrupting him and he didn't vere from the script or adlib a word(from what I could tell).Once again Cena seemed confident and cocky in his presence and it pretty much looked like he owned him again.

Yeah..I pretty much agree with this. Loved his pre-recorded stuff but in the ring he almost seemed..maybe not nervous but apprehensive. Fans calling him tooth fairy - the Rock of old would've switched up and aimed a verbal barb at them. I don't know what it is but it seems like he's holding back or he genuinely does get rattled by Cena. Cena was great by any means but he look far more comfortable.

Overall it was an okay-ish Raw. Very much dominated by the Cena/Rock feud.

When Rock was against Hogan and the fans booed him, he did react but to be fair he couldn't react here because if he did the fans would just boo him more and they are trying to build both as faces. I remember a while back reading that WWE were going to play it like Edward vs Jacob and that's what they are doing. You won't see either come out stronger in the run up to mania.

EDIT: I have no idea why people think Cena was apparently so strong when he kept trying to interrupt at all the wrong parts.

Raw was good. Trips/HBK for next year then with Trips' career coming to an end seems likely. I don't mind HBK breaking his retirement promise for that, it always seemed like that's how they'd end their careers.

Cena was better than The Rock for the second week in a row! At least in the ring, Rock's vignettes were great. I have few complaints about the Mania build right now, just that Sheamus and Bryan don't seem to actually be doing anything.

I love this Cody/Show feud

Edit: Just listening to Review a Wai. Wai's complaint about the end promo  :fp:

I thought Cena was weak in ring. Tried talking over rock, no sold Rocks promo, usual crap jokes, pretty much all the stuff he gets booed for.

Seeing him no sell EVERYTHING just gets really tiring. Even Hogan would at least sell someone pissing him off.

Even The Rock proving the age old adage true again that there's only one person in this business the crowd won't boo Live, & that's Hulk Hogan. Everyone else is not invincible. Come the night, the crowd is going to be almost completely in Rock's favour, but these next few weeks of RAW Rock might not get such an easy ride of it.

Taped segments were excellent (even if Rock throwing things off a bridge did bear an uncanny similarity to what Austin did to Rock's Intercontinental title, among other objects, on RAW IS WAR in 1997 - but it's long enough most people will probably have forgotten). Live, I thought Rock definitely came off the weaker of the two this week. And that wasn't my opinion last time.

I assumed it was a homage to that and when Rock threw Austin into the river in the build up to Mania 15.

I'm quite sure that Hogans been booed live multiple times. Plus it shouldn't be forgotten that they were in Boston tonight cenas home town and rocks always had some people in the crowd booing.

Rock did seem a little edgy on the live promo tonight, but as some others have said it could have been because cena kept interrupting his flow. Rocks promos have always been about flow. His greatest promos are ones where he isnt interrupted or when people wait their turn to speak. Rocks never really been about funny one liners like cena, obviously he does do this but he's usually about making a long passionate, loud, raising speech.

Overall good raw. Question though are the divas matches getting shorter and shorter each week?

Wrong. He was basically saying that the hatred being portrayed between the two wrestlers was too realistic. In a world where kayfabe is all but dead how can anyone possibly complain when the hatred between two characters is even close to feeling as real as it does between Rock and Cena? It's mind-boggling.
