strawberry float, destroyed my arms. Making up for going easy on them last time. 20 mins interval running, 15 mins interval on the bike then some heavy ass weights. 8-)

8-)

Just to check.... I wont be able to do chin-ups until I can lift my body weight on the pull down machine? If so that's going to take a while  I'm over 90Kg

I jogged for 3 miles on the treadmill tonight. Never tried that before, went better than expected (didn't get out of breath, no pains in my legs).

I'm going to up the incline next time and see how I get on. I'm starting to think, maybe I could try a mini marathon whenever I get better? That would be fun.

Nice! What speed did you go at? I hit a new record heart rate on the treadmill today, 174bpm. I thought it was supposed to come down with practice?

I weighed myself today at 93.5KG (been gaining weight from having missed gym sessions but continued eating like I was still going gym - damaged a spine ligament so have been avoiding physical activity for last month) but even out of practice, I managed a comfortable strict 3x6 chin ups and a few pull ups afterwards.

Chin ups really do get easier a lot faster if you practice doing chin ups regularly, I used to be unable to do 2 with clean form for a single set, but I made them the first thing in my workout for a few weeks and every session had a new PR, forget the pull down machine and do the chins!

Jump to help yourself to the top, then slowly lower down from there. Will make you better much quicker than a pull down machine.

I just do my SS lifts and then at the end do three or four sets of as many chins I can manage. As has been said, they're a bit of a memory exercise. The number goes up fast.

You can do assisted chin ups, with like one leg on a chair or something,

Just remember to keep your core tight.

And I've noticed "looking built" doesn't have to have such a correlation with the kind of weights you're doing. I've seen guys in the gym who are twice my size and stacked and their deadlifts are pathetic.

I've noticed this as well, it really is bizarre seeing how light some of the guys lift who are really built, don't know how they manage to stay so muscly.

I've noticed lately my chest caves in quite far, like the edges of my pecs stick out much more rather than having a nicely rounded chest if that makes sense? What exercises could I do to solve that? I've been doing decline bench flys but they don't seem to have made much difference. In fact I'm not even sure if they're the right exercise to be doing.

Anyone?

Got a liter bottle of Russian Standard and a 70 of Amaretto for a house party later, going to be a hard day of lifting come Monday.

It's probably just genetics so I'd recommend you just keep hitting your chest hard with the bench press and dumb bells to let it fill out more.

My powercleans were very difficult today, for some reason. Felt like I nearly broke my clavicles on one of them,

Volleyball finished me off.

You know that 'neck' that bodybuilders have. What the strawberry float is with that neck?

I have a pretty solid neck, there's a little bit I could "trim" but it's quite solid, like 19 1/2 inch.

A friend of mine was telling me they did a bit about abuse drugs in biochem. He was telling me that Growth Hormone is the reason for that like, six pack that sticks out massively, and with testosterone you get extra hair, obviously, like on shoulders and stuff. He says he's been checking out the guys in the gym and you can see who's using what from it.

I read it's because your internal organs grow as well with HGH.
