I'm curious about the political mood, and while an internet forum cheifly about gaming doesn't provide a complete cross-section, it's a useful indicator. You can comment if you want, but you don't have to.

BNP haven't been included in the poll because I know you lot would abuse that freedom. :P

I wouldn't vote this time. If only I could get the entire country to do the same then maybe we might see some change in our god awful political system which has three parties which are as bad as each other.

Right this second I'd vote Labour. If I moved back to Scotland it'd be the SNP.

You should go and abstain rather than not vote, by the way.

I see you haven't included the option for not voting or spoiled or local independent. This poll is useless.

I'd vote for Labour. But then again none of them are really deserving of a vote.

Sorry, I meant it only for voters whose efforts would have even the most meagre effect.

Spoil your vote by writing FACISTS! across whichever party you want to rage at most. Or all of them. Red pen has a better effect.

Yes, there's an option for it. If you just not vote they'd write it off as disinterested youth. Abstaining, at least shows them you think the system is gooseberry fool. Also people died to give you the right to vote so you should at least get up there and do it.

Probably SWP, or maybe TUSC, it depends who chooses to field a candidate in my constituency.

:?:

If you want a true picture of how people are going to vote in a snap election then you should at least reflect how they are going to vote in your poll, otherwise it is invalid. You can't tailor it to how you want people to vote. This isn't Russia.

Why isn't UKIP on the list? They had a big enough impact in the 2010 election to cost the Conservatives an outright majority. They got more votes than the Greens in the 2010 election too I believe.

For years, they've been consistently correct on the EU. Can't trust the Tories to be tough on the EU and it's becoming an ever more important issue in British politics. So they get my vote.

I have no problem with voting UKIP or idependent. Indeed, you have that option in this poll. But just like in real life, if you vote for either there is no discernible effect. Suck it up lads, you can have ideals and you can have influence, but sometimes you have to choose one over the other.

Almost like our electoral system is in need of some kind of reform.

Anyway, voting for a smaller party helps, because you can help them reach the threshold to get their deposit back.

...No I don't. You didn't put UKIP as a poll option. They are a big enough party to prevent a Conservative majority in 2010 so they do have influence.

 Should I start an SNP group in Luton? Or wait, even better, Independence for Luton! I'm sure most of the surrounding area would be more than willing to let Luton secede from the union.

I was being facetious, sorry. The implication was that because the effect of voting UKIP can't be seen, neither could the the button.

Naturally, TheWay is saddened that on this occasion the remark was too subtle for our customer. Lessons have been learned and all future replies directed at this customer will attempt to have at least one penis joke or euphemism for oral sex. We apologise once again for this overestimation.

A largely already acknowledged point and one that I agree with. But that's not an electoral decision that is available today.
