Women's breasts look awesome about 24 hours after birth- really firm and swollen. Sadly they are also very sore, but make sure you get pics. Then post them on here.

Congratulations.

Congrats.

The breast feeding thing. Definitely. Never ever had to wake up in the middle of the night to feed the babies because of this. And it is better for the babies and it's cheaper (free).

Win win.

Gaming wise, I probably did more gaming when the babies were born. I used to cradle them in my arms, get them to sleep and game then. The missus was so knackered she'd have a sleep, so there was no one to bother me. Gets a bit awkward gaming with a baby in your arms though.

Hormonal pregnant women + arguments = :x :x :fp:

Every little disagreement is setting her off into tears, going to have to learn to start ignoring her getting angry (even if that's a bit dangerous labelling all anger as hormonal... :shifty: ).

And cheers everyone for the advise. The next scan (20 week one) is on the 3rd Nov, so should get some cracking scans then (and we'll be doing a 4D scan too :D )

Hmm that's fairly early. My missus didn't go crazy until the final two months.

Just don't snap back in anger. Just go "yes dear" and run her a bath every night. That will give you a hour or so of peace and self fuming.

Wierd colouring, but a full moving video of the baby/foetus in 3D. Much easier to see actual features etc and should also be able to find out the sex of the baby as well then :D

Strange how they call it 4D then.

I suppose it makes it sound more exciting.

20 week scan now over with, the midwife was a grumpy arse, took gooseberry fool scan prints  (that she even charged us for) but at least tried to give us a good indication as to what sex the child will most likely be (as they're not legally allowed to confirm a sex in case they get it wrong and they get sued).

For those who want to know the most likely sex of my upcoming child, it should be a girl! :o

Looking to book a 4D scan for next month. £150, but much better quality and should confirm if the gender is correct. :)

What is a 4D scan, and how is it different to a 3D scan?

The 4th dimension is time. So I guess it records a video.

Not sure of the actual differences (if any) compared to a 3D scan. Could just be a marketing term for all I know.

You're bang on the money in fact, they give you a DVD of the scan itself.

You seem really excited about the whole thing, which is nice.

Kinda random question but.... What the hell is tafloading? I've heard a few people use the term on here recently and have no idea what it is? Is it anything to do with Tafdolphin? :shifty:

Thats a waste of money. Does it really matter what gender it is? I would think it would make more sense spending that amount of money on toys or clothes for her. But then again you could be rich so idk.

But what if you then get toys and clothes for the wrong gender!

They can get unisex clothes and toys! Like red, or green. And besides, it doesn't matter what toys. Studies have been done, for example one girl child only had boys toys for her whole life, yet she still tucked the cars into bed and made them marry etc etc.

Anyway, maybe he has a bit of money, but I wouldn't do it. What's really the point? Just because the midwife said she could be wrong doesn't mean she is, just look at the scans, you can usually easily tell
