Do feel sorry for Pompey, although I won't deny I'll be happy if it keeps us up!

Hate how teams get docked points due to mishaps on the financial side of things. Totally unfair, but at the same time, I guess it's the only real way they can punish a club.

Hopefully you can avoid Liquidation and rebuild for the future. Pompey's fans are great and don't deserve to have had so many years of suffering due to off the field problems. Wish it was happening to a club like Forest, Sheffield Wednesday or Man Utd instead.

Maybe in terms of the average Premier League/Arsenal game, but I think if most other clubs in the competition were in a similar situation the atmosphere would have been incredible, at times you could hear the Milan fans better than the home fans. If there is any club in England that could benefit from an Ultras group it's Arsenal, they have such a good stadium with a huge crowd, imagine if they had half the atmosphere of a team like Dortmund - I honestly think they would be a force to reckon with.

The alternative argument though, is that the financial side of things also can have positive affects on the football pitch.

I mean, a brief reduction of the circumstances could say that the handling of the club and the team it built yielded an FA Cup, so when it went to pot, it was only "fair" they got docked points.

They had the smooth, now is time for the rough.

Again, this is only with my mean, objective hat in. But Pompey fans enjoyed the good times, when they were splashing out in players like Defoe, Crouch, Diarra and Boateng and weren't concerned with any financial irregularities when it got them to Wembley. This is just where all that has, ultimately, left them.

I could've sworn I saw Ivanovic yelling at Torres to take the penalty. I feel so bad for him. He had even made a worse miss before it, so why not have a crack?

Now, a 2-0 win is all we need against Napoli to go through. Gonna be a lot harder, mind you.

Season only starts on Saturday. Promising preseason and some exciting attacking players added to the squad so i'm optimistic. I'd be happy with anything above last place in the conference though tbh. Wish I had saved up for a season ticket now, i'm probably going to end up going to every home game. Even if it's poor football, you wouldn't believe how great the fans are. A standing section with megaphones etc (plus being allowed drink beer in the stadium) makes it much, much more fun than any Premier League game i've been to.

EDIT: There's actually a little excitement about Robson around. I've heard a rumour about Bentley too.
