That's a big hook for the series for me - the fact that no one is safe. Martin is very courageous for that. Or batshit crazy!

The first is true. W.r.t. the second I don't see why it would be necessary, as most of the time they don't obey her anyway.

I doubt that. The 3-headed dragon. 1 - Aegon 2 - Dany 3 - Jon Snow, the hinted bastard child of Rhaegar and Lyanna.

I am up to Storm of swords.
I am a bit surprised Robb got killed off. I hate Bran parts, they are so boring. The series so far is pretty good, it seems like he is trying to drag it out though.

I thought they were more interesting in DwD than the other books, hated all the early stuff with the three eyed crow/learn how to fly gooseberry fool. His chapters have a lot of potential in future. But yeah, sort of DwD spoilers, looking forward to seeing what Rickon and shaggy dog have been up to. Island of cannibals presumably?

A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold- Why do bad things happen to good people? :cry: I read those wedding chapters on the train earlier, that was a mistake. I can't believe he's done this.

Spoiler in the LEAST sense of the word for DWD, doesn't really spoil anything, unless you're really really picky. But related to your train travel.
I read a chapter about Asha Greyjoy strawberry floating someone today on the train...got a boner :fp:
