I've always loved that initial lightsaber battle between Vader and Obi-Wan because it's pure saber on saber action. No force powers, very little poncey twiddling about trying to look flash. You can actually follow what the strawberry float is going on, whereas the prequel battles tend to be a mass of spinny florescent blades that are functionally indistinguishable from a rave.

Not to mention that fact that about 75% of the PM fight is 2 on 1. The heroism. No wonder people wound up rooting for Darth Maul.

i know that its an old film, and the problems they had with the actual sabers breaking when hitting each other and the effects used in the fight were limited...

BUT

in my starwars fan boy head its because both are quite old, i doubt obi wan was keeping up with saber skills on tatooine, vader just runs about intimidating poor imperial navy officers and probably doesn't give a strawberry float about old school sabering. neither use the force because both match each other so whats the point.

I like to pretend it's because they're both so strong in the force that they can anticipate each others' actions, so are conserving energy by keeping it simple until they "forsee" an opening. Yes that's it. Shut up everyone and go away.

is that the one with Bane cadman?

where he does unspeakable things to C3 PO while R2 lives droid dreams?

if so, then yes, its a fantastic episode.

IIRC and your watching the series, soon you'll meet savage Opress, the coolest Mummy Strawberry Floater going.

They're sent out to get fruit for a cake, both get tortured and have their minds wiped of the evening. R2 gets a pampering in a droid spa  Really funny.

Honestly, I don't care about the why's. I mean, I enjoyed Dual of the Fates or the Mustafar duel as much as the next man... but I also love the relative simplicity of that fight. It's like the Star Wars equivalent of the Princess Bride fight.

Appropriate, because of the Bob Anderson connection, that I didn't know about until recently.

Well the Blu Ray was supposed to arrive by 1pm. I paid for the premium delivery.

It is now half past five and no sign of it.

WHAT THE strawberry float?

The parcel tracker says it left Inverclyde at 13:17. How the strawberry float is it supposed to arrive at mine for 1pm?

If they traced the BluRays here, they may have learned who they
sold them to. And that would lead them... to Densters!
