Hi there, all of you..

I wanna say that I'm also an enthusiast when it comes to apocaliptic scapes and what=not.. I like the whole Stalker experience and would love to visit Chernobil one day. I'm planning on going to take a photo session there as well, when I save enough cash ; and I am not joking.
("Massive attack - angel" is one of my favorite tunes , it would be good for a soundtrack)

I salute you , guys !

There was a really good article in this months Wired about wildlife around Chernobyl and how some scientists suggest it's like a nature reserve for animals.

Must admit it got me thinking about possibly doing the Pripyat tour later in the year, will have to look into it.

I defiantly want to go to Chernobyl one day, really good job OP.

Anyway, a couple of cool things I've found on the net (sorry if this stuff has been posted before)

http://englishrussia.com/index.php/2008 ... chernobyl/

http://todayspictures.slate.com/inmotio ... chernobyl/ (This is really sad but it also gives a different insight into the victims, in this case, the children.)

I have been reading "The Dark Tourist" by Dom Joly and there is a great chapter about his time in and around Chernobyl. His tour guide was Sergei as well, I wonder if it was the same guy that showed BLH around (although Sergei in the Ukraine is probably as common as "John" over here!).

I would love to go to Chernobyl but I think the book has given me more of a craving to visit North Korea. Now that would be a strange trip!

I spent far longer than I should have looking for Chernobyl related info in those links.

Same :fp:

I don't know if this has been posted or not (has been a while since I've ventured into this thread), but I just found this Discovery Channel documentary, which looks interesting. May give it a watch later tonight!

I'm pretty sure SkinTagCure is an item in Pokémon.

EDIT; Well this just makes no sense at all now.

Only just saw your post Brer but amazing photos and I am dead jealous as well. In the last year I started randomly reading up on Chernobyl and pripyat and also watched Chernobyl diaries , it's an ok horror film but I watched it more for imagery.

Aye we're looking to go for Anungs birthday. I'd love to go work in one of the orphanages with kids with disabilities. Would be dead interesting to see what radiation does to the body.

Actually I just have interest in both physics and congenital conditions from a medical point of view. I'd be there to learn, not laugh. (Though there was a kid on a BBC documentary not long ago with no arms or legs who sorta cartwheels everywhere on his stumps which was pretty badass :shifty: )
