Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 seems unimpressive specs wise to me. I hope the Nexus tablet rumours turn out to be true (A. That it will exist and B. That it'll have an iPad3 level resolution/DPI), considering Apple products generally have 30% profit margin, it can't be that difficult for another company to make something that matches iPad3 rumoured specs like for like, or even beats them, whilst selling it for less than an iPad and still making a tidy profit.

This is fantastic. It's currently digging through all my all photos and uploading all 500 of them. :D

Google+ has done exactly the same job for ages, except without any storage limit and a much better online viewer. Can't hurt to have a choice though, and it does give you an extra 500MB of storage just for trying it out.

I use Google+ at the moment but I don't want them available online as much as I want them auto synced to my dropbox folder on my laptop. The fact that they're also backed up remotely and available from anywhere is just a bonus.

The advantage of using a service like Dropbox though is it can automatically sync back to your PC (which actually is where I want the photos so I can edit them). I've been doing the same for a while with an app called FolderSync...

Samsung are just diverse and open minded, in the 90s they produced 3DOs and Sega Saturna for Koreans, just as today they support both Android and Windows phones.

I know this'll be a stupid question... I've just installed Swype to give it a whirl - so far, so good. But the warning at the install about accepting that it can collect what you input (including passwords) is bit of a bummer.

I take it that it's just the norm, but there's no reason to be worried, is there? It's just i now use an app on my phone for online banking.

Every custom keyboard I've tried gives that warning.

The Natwest online banking app uses it's own keyboard anyway....

God the new Twitter app is gooseberry fool, the most recent update has broken push notifications on my Galaxy Nexus. They work for a day or so, then stop working and I have to reinstall to get them working again. There's also a lot of lag when switching between tabs and especially when typing. Had enough and just installed one of the older versions before the UI redesign which works flawlessly so far.

i have an HTC desire, due an upgrade, don't really keep up to date with phones tbh.

whats decent at the mo, got no care for apple phones, they break to easily and i don't buy into apple, not cool enough.

at the mo, kinda like the look of the nokia E7, qwerty key pad, touch screen, runs on symbian 3 which seems in divide people not sure why, but it looks solid, has an HDMI out and some useful tools as standard, its office suite looks very interesting.

its qwerty keybord looks like it could be great for emulation, having actual buttons.

saw the galaxy samsung phone, its huge and looks delicate, don't like it.

any thing else to keep an eye out for?

Good point. I guess it's actually a very good alternative for that purpose!

Most people consider Symbian 3 to have been dated and unwieldy since it came out, but regardless of what you think of it the OS is all but dead now. If you buy a Symbian phone today you'll be stuck with a handset that will see next to no further OS or app support.

There are several Galaxy phones. Are you talking about the Galaxy Nexus? If so it's pretty much the best Android handset out right now. It's plastic so it's not as sturdy as some of the metal phones around, but it's not exactly fragile. It also doesn't feel as big as it looks in the hand, and the screen is ace. It's also the only phone currently out running the latest version of Android.

I've had mine for a week or so and am really happy with it. The screen is incredible and the touchscreen is very responsive.
It is huge and my last phone was tiny so it's a bit hard to get used to but it still fits in my pocket and the nice screen makes up for the size. It's not as delicate as it looks and doesn't bend or anything. Using it is a pleasure as everything is instant. If I want to download a game or app it takes literally less than a minute to turn it on, navigate to the market, search for what I want, download it, install and play. The Camera also takes really good photos and has a flash which surprised me for such a thin phone.

Another thing which I'm not sure if it's common on all phones/networks but with orange I can press a button on the phone and it uses my wifi to boost the reception. Previously I couldn't get any signal at all in my house and would have to go in the garden if anyone called, but with this I can now use it anywhere in the house.

Sense 4 looks like quite a big improvement mind, in that it's no longer completely horrible. They've stripped out a lot of the OTT animations for a start, and finally added an actual dock.

Still, stock ICS for the win.

I like HTC Sense. It's one of the reasons I actually bought an HTC phone. ;)

For some time now it's actually removed some basic functionality of Android by taking away the dock, slowed down the OS to varying degrees, and seemed to go out of its way to be "flashy".

Sense 4.0 really does look like a massive improvement though. It looks like it's mainly just reskinning existing features now without mucking things about too much. They've changed the look of the task switcher and dock for instance without changing how they work. The media link feature looks fantastic too.

That's standard for ICS, so get used to it. ;)

It's just Back, Home and Task Switcher now. Google are encouraging developers to add a menu button into their apps where necessary.

Whaaaaat. :|

What will happen when my HD gets upgraded to ICS? Will the menu button just cease to work? :?

Also, I have a dock and I'm on Sense 3.0.
