Luckily I've never heard anyone speak like that. I can't imagine I'd ever associate with them again if they did :shifty:

Speaking like that just sounds a bit Northern. I don't know anyone who types like that, people who type in regional dialects need to die.

Nowt wrong wi a bit a northern!

People who incessantly push the "open" button on train doors, when the light is clearly not on and it's clearly not going to do anything. :x

Similarly, people who press the button at pedestrain crossings, when it's already been pressed. Don't know why this bugs me. But it does.

This annoys me.

Similarly, people who don't know they need to press a button to open the doors on trains. Lately at least two lots of people have missed their stops on trains I've been on because they didn't know they had to press the lit-up green button which makes a noise when it's ready to open the door.

I was tempted to help, but they were just so damn stupid they deserved to miss their stops.

Cheer the strawberry float up. the patients smile more than you. christ.

Edit: another thing that grates is the download speeds on psn. I gooseberry fool you not, it took me all day to download nine patches on little big planet 2 yesterday. I'd love to know why as by the sounds of things it doesn't take long on a 360.

I kinda hate the way the vast majority of older people I know don't want to learn new things. I see this in work, and I see it in my close family (my gran can't even use a house phone and has no intention of learning, for example). Knowledge = Awesome, I just don't get it.

I know what you mean. My girlfriend's nan has never had a curry in her entire life. So they took her to a really nice curry house.

She had chicken and chips.

See, that's why old people should not be allowed to make their own choices.

That reminds me of the many, many times I've had to serve old people on the till at work and they don't understand any part of using a credit/debit card.

It's incredibly frustrating when we've finally managed to get to the end without them putting the card in the wrong way round or putting the PIN in before they're told to, and then they pull the card out before it's finished.

It's not like it's even difficult, they only need to find out how to do this simple process once.

Old people and card transactions don't go well together, do they? They're continually putting them in the wrong way round or up (or both), complaining that all the machines are different, putting their pin in way too soon, not pushing the buttons hard enough, hitting the Cancel button if they enter a wrong digit when they just have to hit the Clear button, argh it's so frustrating.

The sooner those wirelessy card readers come in the better, then they can be billed automatically and we don't need to piss about showing them what to do all the sodding time.

we seem to reach a point where we just don't have the energy or interest in doing so anymore.

Must admit my oldest inlaws are not too bad really (father in law is 84) but they are getting that way a bit now.

Mums fine but she's only 66.

Toilet paper that doesn't tear properly.

This doesn't happen with Andrex Aloe Vera. Some of the alternatives though. *Shakes fist*.

It tears so that you have 3/4 of the square and the other part remains stubbornly attached to the rest? :x

But it tells me it can't eject. No way am I risking messing it up even further by pulling it out abruptly.
