I don't think boasting about gorging yourself is a particular attractive quality in anyone. It's the same reason I no longer hang out with people who judge the quality of a night out on the basis of just how much alcohol they managed to put away.

I imagine it was just a jokey remark.

Quiet you. I've no problem at all with people going on the bants (sorry Denster) or anything like that and I still do sometimes go out with the intent of getting hammered but I got fed up of hanging around with lads who made a point of keeping score when it came to how much drink you had in a night. The aim of a night out had shifted away from enjoying yourself and was instead a once or twice a week pissing contest where I ended up feeling pressured into keeping up the pace with others in my group of friends. It wasn't doing my health or wealth any good so I moved away from it over the last 18 months or so and tried to focus on nights out where I was enjoying myself by going to gigs to hear the band or going to clubs and remembering who I had been chatting up the night before. I don't think that makes me dull.

I agree. Like sometimes I'll go out but I'll take the car and just have a couple of pints throughout the night, and I'm looked at like some kind of villain to humanity, as though I could never ever dream of having a good time without being full to the brim of alcohol.

Touch Wood Don't want to ruin this in advance but I think last night went well, some hilarious conversations about dogging, peados and stalking then turned into a drive to the beach while it was freaking pissing down and freezing, to a nice drive home, with a gentlemanly hug and kiss on cheek routine.

Texted me almost a few minutes later apologising for being shy and that she would of replied with the kiss but thought I'd be like "wtf" hopefully this leads to epic bants later this week.

Pretty much 10 months with the other half now. Good times Almost made it through the first 2 semesters of uni with only seeing each other once a week for anything between 6 hours and 2 days. Not sure if that makes it harder or easier...

I'm still in a weird place (NO before the Newcastle jokes!)

We've not had more than a few texts for weeks. I went for a run along the beach yesterday ("our" beach, nice place for us where we went on like our 2nd date or something!) and I took a photo from where we would always sit, send her it saying "just missing you sat here with me" or something equally as awesome

within 20 minutes..... "I'm really missing you too x" was one of those 'bite your fist' moments! Didn't know whether to feel happy, angry or just laugh myself into a wank. We had a few texts and she said that she loved me and missed me. I've been a lot calmer too when talking to her. She seemed a lot....approachable, and wanted to be talking with me.

Nothing has or will happen in the immediate future (mainly as I'm busy every day until next Tuesday!) but, who knows, I'm not getting my hopes up or anything though.

Thanks for you concern! How are you coping yourself?
